Just sent in my deposit

Question: upon your acceptance, did you receive anything in the mail? I only got an email and haven't gotten anything else....

You get a formal letter in the mail, and then if you qualify, notification about merit aid. That is all so far anyway!

Yup you should receive an email and an update on the status checker. I had to call and confirm mine though, so I'm not sure if that pushed them to update as it had been awhile after I sent it in.

So everyone is pretty much in the same situation of not getting anything in the mail from Fordham, no direction about financial aid, etc.? I would at the very least like to know the cost of attendance before putting a deposit down. Nevermind that other universities have literally inundated me with materials about their programs, curriculum, clinics, etc. What is going on here?

Status checker shows confirmation of my seat deposit, so Fordham Evening division here I come!

Their employment stats for '09 are really impressive, though do keep in mind they (and all law schools) are counting deferred employment as employment just the same.

My wife and I will be living in Brooklyn (hopefully Park Slope) with our two dogs. Can't wait to meet everyone in the fall!

"It should be updated on the status checker"

Me: "Well, sent it in almost a week and a half ago nothing on the status checker"

Her: "Should be, it was updated yesterday when did you check"

Me: "This morning."

Her: ::big sigh:: "What is your social then? Mhmm okay it says it was received."

Me: "OK. Thanks. I'd like to take your word for it but could I get an e-mail or something so I have documentation?"

Her: ::even bigger sigh:: "We will be updating your status checker with that information".

I actually got my admission letter (but way, way earlier in the cycle). Don't sweat it so long as you have one in e-mail form as documentation of the acceptance - the letter is short and doesn't really say much of anything other than congrats.

I do have a strange blank mailing too, and no update on my seat deposit + no response to my email inquiring about it. None of this is surprising, though. It's nice that we're all in this together.

I emailed Kate. She's amazing. She always gets back to me within like three minutes, which is nice. She's checking into the mailings issue for me since it's been three weeks and I've gotten nothing. I want to know what the stipulations are if you send in a seat deposit. Is that written on the letter? What about in the scholarship letter?
