I really like the my.rutgers portal. Much better than my undergrad, which was ridiculously frustrating.

It will be a *new* experience, the law school itself is really really nice, unfortunately the surrounding area is sketchy and not somewhere I would want to be lost after dark. I would say so long as you are on campus or if you just keep to yourself in the city, you should be fine.kissy wrote:no, and i don't really know what to expect. i'm from northern jersey and tend to not leave bergen countyjasonac21 wrote:Hope not too! Well don't let the area a few blocks from campus turn you off. Make sure to check out Haddonfield, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, and of course Philly. Are you sitting in on a class or is it spring break?
Oh, while you're there, could you ask where my shirt is

i don't really think i'll have any desire to sit in on the class, as i'm going to be driving back home the same day and don't really feel like sticking around for too long. i'm also not too concerned with the area surrounding the campus (since most likely i will be camped out in the library or some similar building), but i definitely wouldn't mind venturing into philadelphia.
i also have not received a t-shirt

I grew up near the bad part of Durham, NC and played football D-1...hopefully I can handle the bad parts! But seriously, from what I've heard, campus is pretty secure, and parking is in a very safe area; they have definitely took Camden's reputation/reality into consideration when outlining the schools campus.

Double Post but - I'm waiting on a few schools that are still pending, and going to ride out a few waitlists (planning on taking Notre Dame down to the wire). But, for all intents right now, Ill see you in Jersey next year.jasonac21 wrote:dp73816 wrote:Sounds great. If I wasn't going to LS I'd probably move to Peru and travel around South America. Love it there. Have you decided on Rutgers for sure dp?

Someone should start a facebook group for the class of 2013. I'd do it but I'm new to this facebook thing and I'd probably screw it up!

My email finally works... pretty cool, but it looks a little out of date style-wise. I am going to start exploring the discussion board over there (but idk about posting anything on there, unless it is for finding a roommate if needed).

Waiting on Temple...
Drexel (with $$$) and Pitt (waiting on $). I'm a PA resident, so if Pitt tossed me some money I'd strongly consider it.

Yes, I willkissy wrote:makes sense, best of luck!

I sent an e-mail to the dean requesting additional aid. If they can provide that in conjunction with loosening the restrictions on my scholly (as of right now, I'm only counting on the 1st year which is guaranteed) my decision will be much easier.
I really liked my visit, so all things holding equal, I'd be fine with RU-C but money's obviously an issue.
