yeah violating honor codes and such is some dangerous c&f territory that's simply not worth it.

I wonder how secure with yourself you have to be before trotting that one out. Kind of like rolly backpack lite, IMO.

Actually, ITC will service any UVa bundle....what they won't guarantee is that you get a matching loaner laptop while they service it.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
I have a chronic health condition and have been on numerous health plans over the years....Aetna is by far the worst in terms of coverage, and it is dramatically worse than the plan I had previously when I was working. The premium isn't horrible, but the out of pocket can quickly get to be ridiculous for someone living on loans. I'd much rather pay a higher premium up front, because I can plan/budget for a premium, but the other stuff is a complete "unknown" until you get the EOB statement. I've also had some serious customer service issues (i.e., for 11 months, despite numerous phone calls, they insisted on sending everything to my former address in MA). So, after wasting hours on the phone and spending $5500 on health care this year (bye bye savings...), I am not a fan.

Anyone read this article from Virginia's Senator James Webb published in the Journal a few days ago? Interesting that this is coming from a democrat... Does Virginia typically vote blue or red?

Solidly purple... Northern Virginia tends to vote blue, Richmond and Norfolk/Va Beach area tend to vote red, and Western VA tends to vote red, with the exception of Charlottesville which is solidly blueMuckduck wrote:Anyone read this article from Virginia's Senator James Webb published in the Journal a few days ago? Yes, this was covered on Meet The Press. I was a little surprised that he wrote this. Speaking of politics though, I'm glad I'll be going to a state that has a reasonable Republican as Governor.Muckduck wrote:Anyone read this article from Virginia's Senator James Webb published in the Journal a few days ago? I guess going by Republican antics these days, McDonnell can be considered reasonable. But watch out for their Attorney-General though..LoLzbillyez wrote:Yes, this was covered on Meet The Press. Yeah, the only difference is the loaner laptop will be one of the law school bundle models, so it might end up a bit different than the laptop you're getting serviced. Since it's just a loaner that shouldn't be much of a problem for you.plum wrote:thanks! but i can still get a loaner laptop from cavalier computers right (if that's where i buy the bundle from)?vanwinkle wrote:This is correct.uvajdmba2013 wrote:Actually, ITC will service any UVa bundle....what they won't guarantee is that you get a matching loaner laptop while they service it.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
Okay, so I have been out of town for the last 3 weeks, so I am trying to catch up.
On SIS today the QuickPay link is not working, but I can still view a summary of my bill on the "Account Inquiry" and it says that the semester charges are $22,750 which seems to be $2,000 less than the amount I thought it would be . . .
Anyway, has anybody had this problem with the QuickPay link not working?

Or am I alone . . .YCrevolution wrote:That's the total amount for me (well $2 less than that) which means that they're charging you Class of 2011 and 2012 rates and not Class of 2013.Philo38 wrote:Okay, so I have been out of town for the last 3 weeks, so I am trying to catch up.

Online it says the total tuition cost for 2013 is $47,500. One half of that is $23,750. That's your first semester amount due.Philo38 wrote:Okay, so I have been out of town for the last 3 weeks, so I am trying to catch up.

You already paid two $500 deposits, which brings your bill down to $22,750, though your loan disbursement for that portion should be $23,750 and you'll get your $1,000 in deposits back.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
I think it may be the tuition and fees amount less your deposit (which is credited towards Fall tuition). Tuition and fees are $23,750 for this semester, and I bet you paid a $1000 total deposit, correct? (My stuff is all wonky due to the fact that I've already been in a grad program here for a year)YCrevolution wrote:That's the total amount for me (well $2 less than that) which means that they're charging you Class of 2011 and 2012 rates and not Class of 2013.Philo38 wrote:Okay, so I have been out of town for the last 3 weeks, so I am trying to catch up.
