Anyone happening to have trouble getting into the SIS this morning? Instead of showing the usual links after I log in, it pops up another authentication screen, which my username/password doesn't seem to be working for...

Add me to the list of people waiting for SIS to say that my entrance loan counseling has been completed. Any folks have an idea of how long it might take?

same...im gonna email finaid office if it hasn't shown up by tomorrow (completed last monday)

post their reply? i completed my counseling the 28th as well and am still "incomplete." (i actually did it twice, thinking i hadn't completed it properly the first time. false.)

I finished my grad plus loan application/mpn on june 7 and wasn't awarded my loan until i called yesterday and asked why it wasn't on SIS yet. The woman's response was "that's strange... i'll just post it for you now." The award showed up on SIS within 3 mins and somehow magically I had already completed my grad plus loan counseling.

If you're worried about your loan counseling not saying complete yet you should just call. I'm sure they would happily change it to complete for you.

FinAid needs to get their stuff together... We have no hope of getting our loans on time.

If you're entrance loan counseling is "Incomplete" in the UVA system, it should show up on your To Do List on the right hand side of the Student Center page. Otherwise, click "View Financial Aid" under the Financial Aid section of the Student Center page > "2011" under Aid Year > "Loan Counseling" below the Academic Year Award Descriptions. That should take you to the Entrance/Exit Loan Counseling Page, where you can see the status.

If you think you've already completed your counseling. Click on any of the loans and you should be redirected to studentloans.gov. Log in to your account and there should be a link that reads "View Previously Completed Counseling" under the Counseling toolbar on the left hand side of the screen.

called finaid office and she checked through the DoE and verified I had completed both the MPN's and counseling and updated my SIS page accordingly. guess you just gotta guide them along...

I wouldn't worry about it. SIS is a testament to what happens when you contract out to the lowest bidder who has ties to state legislators.

lol. My trust of SIS is low enough that, good or bad, whenever I get grades I refresh them every day for a week just to make sure they didn't mess them up the first time.

How much LS docs do you usually accumulate? If it's just a handful of documents that you just keep expanding, do you think I could just continually email it to myself, or maybe create an online document that I periodically update?

So you need to send in an official transcript even if you're several years out of undergrad? Didn't we do that as part of the application process?

You do need to send an official transcript to the UVA law school admissions office.

The transcript sent to UVA as part of your application was a copy made by the LSAC of your official transcript.

where do we send it? to whose attn? is there a website re: this?
