extempore88 is also committed for Cornell, so he should be on the list.

Re: Cornell 2013
Not yet. I am going to G-town on Tuesday. Since they have given me the most scholarship (>50% of tuition), I have to pay my respect. I also need to see if, after spending so many years in small towns, I want to live in a big city for a change. Between Cornell and Michigan, Cornell is the winner.sjsteece wrote:violinst wrote:Just want to say that Cornell's ASW was great. The campus is breathtaking: When I stood behind the clock tower and looked over the valley with clouds rolling above me, I felt that Ithaca could be a very nice place for me to spend three years; The administrative people were down-to-the-earth, honest, and pragmatic: They approached questions in a very direct and realistic way, and were never unnecessarily promotional; The atmosphere was very collegial and the student body seems very tight-knit, much more so than the students I met at Michigan's ASW (people there seemed just friendly and nice to each other, without having a special sense of tightness). To me, Cornell is very much like Michigan, but more intimate and personal. I was very impressed.
Shall we add you to the official attending list? I'm going to start one by the way on the first page, let me know if I've missed anyone.

Before I forgot. Here is the link to the PILIPP info that I was talking about that included some samples on how the numbers play out.holybartender wrote:Hah, Cy->Cyclones->Iowa State. You described the PILIP to me, appreciate that again!CyLaw wrote:After the tour today i am definitely rethinking the whole Hughes thing. Btw I think we had lunch together today.

I was there at ASD this weekend too. I really liked it, but I'm waiting to see about additional financial aid before I send in my deposit. Ithaca is so beautiful, though. Nothing like what I expected at all!

I'm right on the fence about committing. Just waiting to hear back from the financial aid office about a possible increase in merit aid. if they give me anything more, then they will certainly tilt the scales for me and the decision will be made.

Cool. I should have went looking for a place to live while I was there this weekend. At first I thought I would just do Hughes, but it is just not for me. Now, I got to look for a place from afar.holybartender wrote:he already found a place to live in like 5 minutes. really close to campus, actually.CyLaw wrote:extempore88 is also committed for Cornell, so he should be on the list.
BTW, if anyone is looking for a room mate, let me know via PM.

Can anyone explain how the loan process works? When do we actually sign the packages and become locked in?

I considered an 'Ithaca is Gorges' shirt or bumper sticker, but I couldn't do it.

At first I thought you meant wearing the sweatshirt. Then I realized you meant leaving Ithaca.Jericwithers wrote:LOL! Isn't it the greatest feeling ever?cicely101 wrote:$45 for me!
