I will just have to look up all of the assigned readings on Westlaw, then. well just remember wustl gives you 1000 free pages of printing plus unlimited lexisnexis/westlaw printing, plus a free metro pass thing. so you're saving all that money there...
1000 free pages, that's it??? Geez, I think we're going to chew through that in about a month! The quota was 3k at some of the other schools I looked at... guess I just assumed it was universal.
Talk about adding another line to the spreadsheet... I'm gonna have to take out a GradPLUS just for printing.

There's only one way to figure this out, then... We'll have to capture a current student and beat them until they talk, Jack Bauer style.

You are debating between dozo and WUSTL? How is this even a debate (unless you are getting a full ride from Cardozo)? Is it just the SO situation that's holding you back?sibley wrote:

Anybody send in their travel reimbursement stuff yet? If so, two questions...
1. What is the rate for mileage? The sheet says .500, but wouldn't that be 50 cents a mile? Isn't that awfully high?
2. How long did it take you to get your check?

1. I didn't think we got reimbursed for mileage, just for expenses directly related to travel...
2. It only took about two weeks for me to get mine... Maybe it was because I didn't know I was supposed to add the mileage.

Haha yup. We get money for gas, which I assume is calculated based on mileage? It says, "Reimbursable expenses may include: airfare, 1 night hotel stay, gas (if you are driving to visit us), car rental expenses."jackalope11 wrote:romothesavior wrote:Anybody send in their travel reimbursement stuff yet? Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
.50 per mile is not high. I'm a consultant and have to charge in mileage on a pretty consistent basis. It's meant to reimburse you for gas plus the "wear and tear" on your car from driving it when you wouldn't usually drive it. If that's what it says on the sheet, then use that. I know that's about what it is for when I get reimbursed for work.romothesavior wrote:Anybody send in their travel reimbursement stuff yet? If so, two questions...

Makes driving out to Green Bay or Indy for work more tolerable when you get to pocket an extra $200-$300 for the week.

FWIW, I had to call and straighten out the mileage situation. Evidently they weren't going to do mileage, just receipts, but I told them that I had no receipts and someone in their office evidently incorrectly told me mileage was fine. Easiest just to call and straighten it outromothesavior wrote:Haha yup. We get money for gas, which I assume is calculated based on mileage? Shit, are you serious? I mean, why would they not do mileage? Who keeps receipts from the gas station anyways? I don't understand why a simple Google maps printout with directions wouldn't suffice.stratocophic wrote:FWIW, I had to call and straighten out the mileage situation. That's what I'm sayin'. Mileage is standard practice. I was mystified about it, but it wasn't that hard to get it taken care of, thankfully.romothesavior wrote:Shit, are you serious? When is everybody arranging housing? I'm working abroad and I don't get back to the States until July, so I was thinking I'd worry about it then. But it seems like everybody is already researching and I've heard people talk about putting down deposits. Am I going to be screwed if I don't do anything about housing until late July?

I'm 50-50 between WUSTL and another school. That tuition is really killer, but I loved ASD.

Same boat. Except early August. It seems like apartment complexes and what not are still in "summer housing" (from May on). One person I spoke to said not contact them until they know who is renewing their leases and summer housing is figured out (so wait untilmyq wrote:When is everybody arranging housing? I'm working in Hangzhou, China. How about you? Are you planning on somehow trying to remotely arrange an apartment, or are you going to wait until August?

Spain. I think I'm going to just pick a place sight-unseen in mid July and sign a lease that way. I'm not too picky and I don't really need to know what it looks like before getting into it. That's kind of my only option. (I don't want to stress myself trying to find a place and move in a day before classes begin.)myq wrote:panadera wrote:Same boat. Except early August.
