BTW, the Brother 2140 laser printer is on sale for $50 at Best Buy right now. I just picked one up.

I'm going full suit and I believe all the other guys I know are doing the same.

Hey, I'm trying to find the orientation readings on MyLaw, but I'm having a hard time finding them. Can anyone tell me where to get them?

I mean, they never officially let everyone know what to wear. They dropped the ball on that one. I'm guessing there will be a large number of people who aren't full suits.

I agree. Without TLS, I would have NEVER known to wear a suit tomorrow.

But it is what we are supposed to wear. I asked admissions after I heard the rumors on TLS, and they verified that business profession (aka suits for men) is what we are supposed to wear.

Reminds me of the scene in Anchorman where they get excited about suit shopping. If anyone wants to go suit shopping, I actually do enjoy it, haha

As much as i complain that i "never have reasons to wear my suits" i am not looking forward to wearing one tomorrow, especially if it's over 90. that said, i bet alot of the class wont be in suits/pant suits/etc as NO ONE FUCKING TOLD US. I only know because of TLS.

That said, i'm going to snicker at anyone wearing a suit on tuesday-friday.

I bet a lot of people had the same instinct, however, and called admissions and asked them for a dress code for the entire week.

That said, those of us in suits may end up being the minority -- but we'll be a damn fine good looking minority.

Yeah, I really dunno why we didn't get an email about it? Maybe it was mentioned somewhere and we all missed it? I hear the reason for the suit thing is that they are taking pictures of us for some sort of individual profile and the picture may be sent to employers at some point in the future.

I am actually really looking forward to wearing my suit tomorrow. I think I'm gonna go pick out my clothes right now, actually.

I've got some nice dress slacks, a shirt, and a navy blazer. I think I'll sport it around without a tie, though. Open collar = JCougar stays cool. Although 88 degrees won't be so bad anyway. I'll bring a tie along in case I really need it.

Haven't posted in a while but I was sitting around my apt. bored and thought I would see if there was any buzz about orientation starting tomorrow. Couple of things on my mind:

So suits for tomorrow? I would not have known that if it was not for this message board. Seems like they should have said something. I suppose even if others don't abide by the dress code we will just have to find a way to deal with looking better than everyone else...

Another thing, I never sent in my pic for my ID. I'm assuming it's not a big deal to get the ID on my own but does anyone know where I get my ID? Do I go to the student center? On the website it says to go to the Ann W. Olin Women's building but I can't find that on the map.

The Olin Women's building is east of the law building, like 4-5 buildings down from AB Hall. Pretty much right across from the DUC across the quad. You just go in, go downstairs, and they make it for you in like 2 minutes. Pretty simple and the lady was really nice.

Yes, you can pay cash. It is usually like 2-3 bucks.

The student transportation center is right off of Rosedale, north of Delmar. Just take your pass in there and get it made when you get a chance, its really convenient.

work clothes / casual tuesday because of the service projects
after that, they have asked for business casual, but it sounds like polo with khaki shorts might be enough
