I'm not sure what the name is....just vaguely remember drinking at a bar called 3/Three during March ASW.

Yeah, they had bar review there the Thursday night of March ASW. It's kind of a sleazy club with tons of townies. It's right next to White Spot, the burger joint/diner.

tazfifi is correct in that sometimes medians can appear to skew data, depending on how you look at it. For instance, if there were 10 people in a class and the GPA distribution was: 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, & 4.0, the median would be 3.5, even though only 30% of the people would be scoring below median. In this case 70% of the class would be scoring at or above the median (and 60% would be scoring at or below it). You'd have to have several people in the middle with identical GPAs for this to occur, but under a curved system its not unreasonable that this would be true.

correct of course, the only reason i picked at him was because he said "above" whereas your well-honed math and logic skills correctly noted what is bolded

Doing it wrong. You want to be in the non-TLS section. You're graded relative to your section mates.

Does any plan, or has anyone before driven from the West Coast to the East? I'm thinking about it, but it is a 2800 mile journey and I wouldn't leave until the last week of July, which would make it up to a 10-day journey. Although it might be fun, I'm a little concerned that it might leave me a little exhausted seeing that I'd have to get set up in C'Ville in 2 weeks time before classes start.

Sounds like fun. Had I gone to UCLA I was planning to do the same thing, East to West. Two weeks seem like enough time to get settled and recuperate.

You should be able to kill it in 3 days with plenty of rest thrown in. Have fun!

I'm using my psychic skills to stare in the future but I somehow don't see a ban coming. I think my friend may have rocked his aluminum foil hat today. It is his lucky hat though so it's understandable.
