I want to end this process -- it's worn me out. I should be way more excited about Fordham than I am currently. All of this uncertainty about the next three years + work + travel has nearly destroyed my perspective on things. I can't wait to hear back from these last few schools and if Fordham is where I end up, I would be more than pleased to join you all.

At this point, only WUSTL could make this decision a difficult one.

waitlisted today, possibly as retribution for participating in the waiting room drama. disappointed, but getting happier by the minute (go check out that thread...)

Does anyone know -- do you HAVE to put your parents' income for the TAP, even if you are independant? I LOVE the FAFSA for not making me do this...

I do think you have to but I'm not positive about it.

Thanks, sib. That's so frustrating that they assume parents' income matters, even when you are 27.

Hi guys! In via email from Dean Brown late on Fri night. They waitlisted me on Thursday and I worried that they didn't consider my February LSAT so I contacted the office and they tracked down my file. Turns out my second LSAT never made it to the individuals reading my file. So... situation was rectified, and I'm in with a scholarship! I'm very very impressed by my interactions with Dean Brown and the rest of the admissions staff. Go Fordham!

Coming up from DC next week for the Cardozo admitted students day on Thursday and checking out Fordham on Friday. If I like what I see I'll come back the next weekend for the Fordham ASD. Still waiting on Columbia (fingers crossed), Georgetown, GW, and Cornell. Phew long post. I'm excited to join you all.

Does anyone in here know if Fordham is willing to match scholarships from higher ranked schools?

I apologize if this is the wrong thread for this sort of question.

Someone needs to post the 8-ball picture.

It's not very likely. So far nobody has reported a successful scholarship negotiation. There is no reason why you shouldn't try, though. Good luck.

Haha you guys are ridiculous. I want to be at Fordham and in NY but it would cost twice as much to go to Fordham at sticker price than the offer i got from ND.

See you guys in 4 weeks when decisions are being made.

i've tried emailing fordham to ask about merit aid. did it kindly and without any pressure but haven't heard back for a week+ now. is this a good sign (i.e. they're mulling it over) or a bad sign?

Ha I stand corrected. Well done Dani!

I suppose I may have fared better if I had a few more bargaining chips.

+1! i emailed them twice within the past week and have not heard back. i assume they're just swamped right now. i'm going to call financial aid next week if I haven't heard anything by Monday.

I emailed Dean Brown a month ago, and followed up with an email to admissions after I hadn't heard in about two weeks. They said they'd forward it to him. Still haven't heard anything, so I hope it wasn't caught in a spam filter or otherwise lost.

+1 I emailed back in January with at least 4 follow ups. Still, nothing. If I don't hear back from the email I sent yesterday I'm going to call by the end of the week :?

I e-mailed way back in December, but didn't receive a response until January. It told me that scholarships are assigned within 2 weeks of admittance, and nobody else would receive one (in much more polite terms). They said the only other times scholarships are given are at the end of 1L to top ranking students. It appears that scholarship negotiation does in fact happen despite this policy, but it also appears to be the exception, not the rule...
