Let me know what you choose. We'll get a group together.
I like this idea.
I will text you and NU later tonight about it... I haven't really had time to look it over yet.
i don't even know what service organizations are... we're required to join one?

I believe he's referring to the orientation service project where you choose which group you want to join for that Tuesday of orientation. You can read the descriptions on the admitted students page. Based on some of the descriptions they give, you could be in for a day of hot manual labor. Several of them said something like "volunteers will garden and do other yard work. Everyone should wear pants and bring sunscreen." Somehow I didn't find room for those on my list of choices. You can choose 5. All mine involved either child care or sorting through donations. There are a lot to choose from though.

I'm looking forward to coffee and treats and meeting those "on campus" tomorrow morning. :D

Edit: I'm crossing my fingers for the Daycare Center! I love reading and little kids that aren't my own.

Ha! I'm in Denver tonight and tomorrow night as well. My gf and I hung out in LoDo tonight, it was pretty sweet. We'll be heading to KC on Saturday. Hope your drive is going well. How long u spending in KC? The drive from Denver->KC is going to be rough, not looking forward to it.

Rough is an understatement. Prairie Dog Town is a good stop; they have six legged cows. Gotta love Kansas. :P

I did St. Louis to Boulder in one day earlier this summer. When I got to Boulder, I had a beer at Mountain Sun or something downtown. Best beer I've ever had.

I will post all the people who are coming later tonight. I didn't take you off the list yet, so your ticket is still good if you want to take it.

For those of you crossing through the plains over the next few days, I just want to remind you greenhorns that hunting too much in one area will make game become scarce, so sometimes bartering at the forts with other travellers for a few pounds of beans and bacon will be credited. Also, whenever you are presented with the option to ford the river or caulk the wagons and float it, it is probably best to seek out a group of Indians who can ferry you across. And beware of dysentary.

I have a very important announcement:

I HAVE ARRIVED.

I can barely move. I know I pulled some muscles moving in, but I can't tell which ones yet because everything hurts. Now I have an apartment full of boxes, a non-functional body, a competition hip hop routine to choreograph by the 17th. Yikes.

Thanks for making it sound like a new mixtape or anticipated album -- terms I can relate to.

I don't even know which bikes count as decent. Like, are there brands and/or styles to avoid for quality/comfort issues? Are there any that are known for a lack of durability?
I can't think of any brands/styles to avoid.
