After having 3/4 of our classes, it has been very tame. Other thoughts?
I'm down for some beers on Friday.
I am not in section 7 but I'm off campus and out of the loop. I'm down for beers with whoever's havin them this weekend.
Great!

All who want beer are welcome! We've got ConLaw until 7:45. I'm in Hotung, but not sure where everyone else is at. Do we want to meet by the stairs leading to the 3rd floor in McD and then head over to Irish Times?
that's good with me

No, but I was at my friend's place last night.

Anyone going to the free National Symphony Orchestra thing tonight?

So...this thread is dead. Here is an attempt at a resurrection:

Anyone sign up for the 1L Pro Bono Project? If so, have you gotten your assignment? I just got mine today.

I seriously considered it but this was around a time when I had some extra time pressures going on so I didn't want to try anything this semester. Maybe in the spring, or else I'll just try pro bono stuff for 2L and/or 3L.

They did a surprisingly good job of talking me out of it at the information session. I only wanted to do 2 of them anyway, so little chance I would have gotten it.

Ha ha, what did they say at the information session? I couldn't make it to either so I went in at a different time and spoke to them. I have no idea how competitive they all are, but I got my first choice. I'm sure it's more or less just "draw a name out of a hat" if there are too many people that sign up for one.

And I loosely quote: "This will not get you a job, if you are here for a job this won't get one for you." I am not sure I agree with the statement, but that is what it was...

Plus the time constraints they mentioned and also 1L grades being everything job wise.

"I probably should have done it... Not like we are all that busy, and I believe she said it was over early to mid Nov."

Really thought the thread was dead.

I signed up and got my first choice. I was not going to do it, but one of the projects was a volunteer organization I voluntered for back home and was planning on looking it up here. Plus, it wasn't as complicated or as large of a time commitment as some of the projects.

I don't know of any facebook group for it. There is never anyone there though.... I am really bad, so pickup games will have to wait until I can at least shoot 50% or better just playing around...

I really enjoy foosball though.

Our section definitely has great professors, and that makes all the difference.

I love my professors too and my classes really are enjoyable at this point!

Unitas (haha seems funny calling you that since I know you), we're doing assault, offensive battery, and IIED right now in torts.

Another question: Is the Courtside Cafe (at least the food/drink serving capacity) a complete fiction or what?

YES, yes it is. I talked to them about it a few days ago... What I got was it won't be open this year and they aren't certain what they are going to do with the space. I say a bar....
