So I won't be going back to Charlottesville until I move-in August 6. There are no Bank of America branches around me so I guess my only option is to have my loan $$ direct deposited into my current account and then transfer the funds to the BoA account after I open it?

"2% of law students have STDs" - In a class of 350 there are about 7 ...

Perhaps more shocking... "10.5% of law students are virgins (half of these are first-year law students)"

so let's say 10% out of a total class of 900 (underestimating), that's 300 per class, 45 (half of 10%) out of 300 is 15%! Is this not a really high #???

I don't plan on sending in my 2nd deposit until the last possible minute. I'm holding on to my money for as long as I can while I still have it!

In case you are wondering what the best pre-LS prep is. From what I have gathered from TLS and other friends, getting deep into this will do wonders before the stress of LS really starts kicking in.

Did this give anyone else the pre-WC goosebumps too? :D

One of my classmates is interning in South Africa this summer. I am wishing I had thought of that.

Hmmm.. that sounds interesting..

I wonder if one would need to have a connection in this area to do this. How would you line something like that up? Would it be unusual to walk straight into career services and say "I'd like to work in south Africa"?

Completely random, but will having "Corbin on Contracts" do me any good next year? The guy I interviewed with for Vanderbilt gave his copy to me for some "summer reading"...trying to avoid the awkward situation of returning it.

Watching a ton of games, drinking beer from a fresh keg and half-assing my last month of work. Oh how I can't wait for June LS-Prep.

Apparently there are people being offered money to defer. That is definitely something to think about.

This morning, I received a phone call from Dean Trujillo - he told me that they could increase my scholarship if I deferred my admission for a year.

What is this about???? He said he wanted to offer it up as an option if I was in a bind, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they maybe received a few more seat deposits than they were anticipating...?
