I followed the instructions YCRev posted, and along with some other instructions from the UVA website was able to set up a mylastname@virginia.edu address.

Yay! For most of the summer last year, it wouldn't let people add @virginia.edu aliases.

Yeah, I had read you mentioning that in one of the UVA threads before, but when I went to do it, it was an option. I think now you can add 1 @virginia.edu, and up to 3 @mail.virginia.edu (or whatever the domain is).

It is only allowing me to have the one @virginia.edu and not letting me choose what it is (it's my computing ID the predetermined letter and number combo). I made my own @email.virginia.edu though.

It says I have can have a maximum of 7 alias in the @virginia.edu domain but above that it says you may only claim mycomputingID@virginia.edu in this domain. No option to check the availability of an alias.
