Yeah and you missed out on the U2 concert tickets they included in the packets this year.vanwinkle wrote:I'm starting to feel left out myself with all this "people getting packets this year" thing. I didn't get a packet either.YCrevolution wrote:I only got a letter last year
Why, back in my day they only sent us letters, and in order to get those letters in the middle of winter I had to walk half a mile to get to the mailbox, in a raging blinding snowstorm, uphill both ways!
Damn spoiled rotten kids.

No, no. Sorry, I misread. It's actually a ticket for a Miley Cyrus concert on YouTube. Damn, it's my LSAT nightmare all over again...Philo38 wrote:You got U2? Packet includes an acceptance letter signed by J.T., a copy of the Virginia Law Mag, the general handbook of the law school (which can be requested by anyone online), and various 1-page hand-outs of the various programs -- E.g. nat'l sec law, Law & business, environmental law (there's about 10 of em, if not more).jawsthegreat wrote:Can someone who was accepted ED detail what actually comes in the mail?

So, how do people normally go about finding a roommate?
Also, can anyone recommend some awesome UVA clothing so I can rep my future school?

I would also like to know how they handle the awarding of scholarships. In the acceptance, later in the spring?

That was actually about as real as it gets. They'll make scholarship offers later, in the spring.jawsthegreat wrote:Can i get a real response please.Kohinoor wrote:later in the spring after they see their ED yield.jawsthegreat wrote:I would also like to know how they handle the awarding of scholarships. Thanks, about what i figured. I obviously wasn't going to get a big scholarship applying ED, but it would be nice to get something.YCrevolution wrote:Around March/April unless you get one of the really big ones.jawsthegreat wrote:I would also like to know how they handle the awarding of scholarships. Re: UVA Class of 2013
You can go to the UVA bookstore website to find official merchandise. I got a shirt with "VIRGINIA" on it, a navy blue underarmor shirt with "virginia law" on it, the underarmor hat, and a gray "virginia law" sweater. I highly recommend both the underarmor shirt and hat. They're very comfortable and keep me nice and cool in the gym. The sweater I got was just too big for me and I'll probably be sending it back (i got a large and probably should've gotten a medium even though the large shirts fit me just fine).jawsthegreat wrote:So, how do people normally go about finding a roommate?

Yes, which means they're in no hurry to make scholarship offers to those kids. But they generally don't make any smaller scholarship offers until the spring. They do half/full tuition offers with acceptance for a few applicants they're trying to entice to go there... but they're not gonna do that with ED kids since they have to attend. Even if they're going to give you something, they'll let you know in the spring when they let everyone else know.jawsthegreat wrote:Well shouldn't their early decision yield be 100%?vanwinkle wrote:That was actually about as real as it gets. I'm probably going to make a trip to look at Ivy Gardens and the Jeffersonian after the first of the year so if any of y'all are already looking for a roommate let me know

I am also looking for a roommate, although, I am male and, some people say, a little insane. So, probably not what you're looking for. However, on the subject of your visit to Ivy and Jeffersonian, previous posts say there's little chance of getting a room at the Jeffersonian unless you submit an application on or around January 1st.lnz103 wrote:I need a roommate.. preferably female and reasonably saneI'm probably going to make a trip to look at Ivy Gardens and the Jeffersonian after the first of the year so if any of y'all are already looking for a roommate let me know

I may just end up applying for a one bedroom at the Jeffersonian... does anyone have any pictures of an apartment there? There aren't any on the website, just floor plans.jdavid901 wrote:I am also looking for a roommate, although, I am male and, some people say, a little insane.
