I tried to find the answers about the Tower Green but the girl at the Concierge Desk didn't seem too sure but thought that it would be the green area in front of Gewirz/Hotung. I think we'll be able to figure it out when the time comes!

Also, a reminder about our TLS meetup tomorrow after the Gewirz Great Race and before the baseball game! We're going to meet in the lobby of Gewirz at around 4 p.m. to walk over to RocketBar together. You can buy your ticket for the baseball game at the Concierge desk for 10 dollars.

Just dropped some $120 at Target. Bedding is expensive! Glad that my high school gets $1.20 of it, though.

How about 7:45 in the lobby? The reception starts at 7:30. We can make a fashionably late entrance.

Regarding the pool party, the letter said we'd find out more about the pool party but it's not on the schedule The luau description doesn't say anything about swimming

Blarg! The "sheet set" included pillowcases! I didn't know that and bought a separate set. At least I have plenty of pillowcases now... for one pillow.

Which lobby? Heh, dumb too late question. I looked around and couldn't find anyone (then again don't know what people look like. We'll end up meeting formally (or already have) sometime.

Random question. Does anyone like black twizzlers? (Waterman?) My aunt loves them and bought a huge bag of them, but left them here. The bag is opened (sketch, I know) but more than three-quarters full. I can't stand black Twizzlers or their smell, so I'm just going to toss them if no one wants them!

I realize this may not be "cool" but I just moved here from CA and am really looking forward to doing touristy things this week. haha. Go to the smithsonian, check out the capitol building, white house, whatever is clever. is anyone else down?

Here is what I was told:

We're going to meet in the lobby of Gewirz (Like down near the elevators) at 4 p.m. this afternoon and walk over to RocketBar together for Happy Hour.It's in Chinatown, on 7th in between H and G. It's actually very close to the big Chinatown gate and near the Verizon Center. If you see the Fudruckers, it's right near there. Here's the website!

I don't know about the game. They offer special reduced price tickets ($10.00) to residents. You could always just come in and ask. I know I am not going to be able to go to the game, so that is at least one unused ticket.

I took a class on raquetball in undergrad, so I'm basically an expert.

Seriously though I'd like to start playing. It's fun and good exercise.

Tomorrow on the Gewirz schedule is a neighborhood tour and night out in DC. Night out looks fun, not sure about tour. Orientation starts tomorrow also.
