totally agree. leonardo dicaprio is my favorite actor and he delivered again....i thought it was by far the best movie i've seen so far this year...publiuspublicola wrote:In non-tech news, saw "Inception" on Wednesday. and i don't have the firm prep thing to do so I guess I'll continue to be bored all by my lonesome? I've been reviewing the thread but I'm not sure who's meeting who for when.

I'm getting about what i had expected(though i forgot the health insurance fee)jumpropeck wrote:Whoaaa i'm getting refunded way less than I had budgeted.
It's cool though -- i'm not really into eating or socializing.
It's kind of funny seeing a negative account balance for more than the price of a car. I wonder how it works if the bill is due before loans drop?

I'm in STL also! Just got in 24 hours ago. I'm not bored out of my mind since my entire extended family is here, but I would hang out at some point.

i think it's possible for payments to be due before the loan money comes through....they already know how much loan money is expected so if that amount is greater than what's due, the due date and amount are dismissed. this is how things worked at unc.Oban wrote:I'm getting about what i had expected(though i forgot the health insurance fee)jumpropeck wrote:Whoaaa i'm getting refunded way less than I had budgeted.

they subtract out the expected loan amount. So it doesn't matter when the due date is because the amount of money you owe is not going to change.najumobi wrote:i think it's possible for payments to be due before the loan money comes through....they already know how much loan money is expected so if that amount is greater than what's due, the due date and amount are dismissed. this is how things worked at unc.Oban wrote:I'm getting about what i had expected(though i forgot the health insurance fee)jumpropeck wrote:Whoaaa i'm getting refunded way less than I had budgeted.

Thanks! I was struggling with it all yesterday. That's weird that you have to have "go.wustl.edu" but then again I'm not very tech savvy.

I've recently combated the pre-Sonnenschein boredom by heading down to the Arch and the museum underneath it which I did not know existed. But definitely worth going down to see and I'm not even really into museums like that.

I don't think we got an email with this specific info but I assume the program is at the law firm - located downtown at 211 N Broadway STE 3000. I asked a friend who did it last year about dress code and he said business casual. He wore slacks and a polo; by the second week people were wearing jeans but not really the first week.Stephanie13 wrote:Maybe I missed the email on this but can someone tell me where exactly the Sonnenschein class is and what the dress code is?

I'm interested to see if they talk to you at all about the new SNR Denton and its implications for the St. Louis office.2013esq wrote:I don't think we got an email with this specific info but I assume the program is at the law firm - located downtown at 211 N Broadway STE 3000. Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
Just got home from a little weekend getaway in STL. Went to the casino, Six Flags, a Cardinals game, Charlie Gitto's (best Italian I've ever had, but expensive if you go the one on The Hill), and hung out down on the Landing. Lot's of fun, and I loved my apartment. Can't wait to move down there. I'll be there for good two weeks from today!

So this week we should be getting our schedules. Pretty interested to see if any of us get into the same section.

I can't wait to get my schedule...Anything to get this law school thing moving (I may regret this statement in 2 months).
Didn't know there was a 6 Flags here. I'm looking forward to going there, that and the arch- I'm easy to please

Yep, it is about 20 minutes outside of St. Louis. It is pretty good... The Boss and Mr. Freeze are pretty awesome coasters.ninano wrote:I can't wait to get my schedule...Anything to get this law school thing moving (I may regret this statement in 2 months).

And I wish I had seen your post Saturday about being bored in STL before tonight. I tried to get a few people together for a drink this weekend but didn't get any bites.

omg...SIX FLAGS will only be open during the week (shorter lines right?) for the next 2 weeks. Anyone in St. Louis want to meet up for a trip there b4 orientation? I promise I'm not that socially awkward in person!

6 Flags is fun. I've only been to Great America outside Chicago and Magic Mountain out here in LA. Those new coasters where you lay down, flying coaster, i believe is the term. Those are sick. Especially when you do the inverted loop. Nothing feels like it. Though i do love me a good wooden coaster, like American Eagle at Magic Mountain or Mean Streak at Cedar Point.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
Oh man, I can't do those laying down flying coasters! Very cool indeed, but they freak me out a little bit. I'm a huge fan of the wooden coasters. Six Flags St. Louis just got this new one called the Evel Knievel Coaster and it may be my new favorite ride! It is a lot shorter than the Screamin' Eagle or The Boss, but it was really fast and had some sharp banked turns.Oban wrote:6 Flags is fun. I'd definitely be up for going again.
