Yes. I've been in Colorado for 2+years now. I love to hike -- there are some good spots in the Ozarks.

Thanks all! I couldn't be more stoked to be joining you all. I don't think I'll be in St. Louis yet for the Cards game (my gf and I are driving two cars from Las Vegas, so we're going to take our time), but definitely count me in for Sushi!

Not specifically, but i know a few older alums who have been living in stl for a few years now, so it can't be too desperate.

I just watched the Outlaw Josey Wales a couple days ago, which helped to remind me of my hatred for all things Kansas. I had nearly forgotten after being out here in CO.

How do you guys feel about the Forest Park Southeast "Grove" area? Is it relatively safe? I'm thinking of a place just above Manchester (south of the freeway)... is it okay to walk to the CWE from there?

The Grove is not a "nice" area. I say that comparing it to CWE and Clayton.
Also, The Grove is the gay district of St. Louis. Just an FYI.

i never considered they would use 1L's addresses to determine what sections we're in...and i too hope i can get fridays off, though even then i think the only class on fridays is that 1-hour class (legal writing?) at either 10 or 11...

Am I the only one that finds WUSTL's mandatory health insurance ridiculous? I can understand a requirement to show proof of coverage, but to actually force students into their own plan is crazy. (How is this even legal?) The only legitimate reason I can think of is cost saving to WUSTL. They save a TON by funneling everyone through their student health center.

you're probably right that it saves them money...in which case what they're doing makes sense.....people probably don't care too much since it costs $500 and while tuition is over 40k. i'm thinking many will just be covered under 2 health insurance plans, their parent's and the schools. i, myself, don't plan on asking my mom to drop me from her insurance.
