Didn't get scholly in the email though... Deebs and other recent admits, did you get the splitter scholly automatically? Or did you shoot an email to Dean Clifford?

Definitely add me to the list. Someone asked what Wasabi's prices were like, all nigiri was under $3 and rolls were between $7 to $13 I think. Here's the menu, but like I said I just thought it was ok. The Blue Ocean sounds good.robin600 wrote:BLUE OCEAN! That's what it's called! Blue ocean is the one I was talking about!beachbum wrote:not to be a total creeper, but... if you want good sushi around WUSTL, try Kampai in the CWE. I currently live in the CWE (life-long STL resident), and Kampai is heads and tails above the competition. Subzero is much more enjoyable as a bar (ice bar!) than as a sushi restaurant, and I've never been fond of Drunken Fish (overrated, seems like more of a trendy club than a sushi spot).
Blue Ocean (in the loop) is also a solid option, and it offers all-you-can-eat sushi at three different price levels.
Anyway, good luck to you all at WUSTL- it's a great school. (I might be joining you all in a year). And if you have any questions about STL, just ask.
So we got:
mote
fl0w (Congrats!!! I know the housing market is tough right now go you!)
panadera
J-Tow
myq
Rock Chalk
and me!
Woot woot! Anyone else is totally down and totally game. If everyone wants to party it up I can DD as well, or if we decide to hit up Blue Ocean, my apt. is two blocks away so we could just chill there too. I have an awesome bean bag chair that my parents got as a wedding gift that people always marvel at when they come over...

For those interested, Amazon is running a promotion for students where you can get Amazon Prime for free for a year. Just have to register a .edu email. It gets you free two day shipping and $3 one day shipping. Pretty good deal if you use Amazon much or for pretty much everything like I do.

Just joined the Wellbridge Athletic Club & Spa in Clayton today. Lots of free classes & supposedly pretty nice. Won't finalize the contract until we see it in a couple weeks. Anyone else joining a gym?

And myq is right, there is a Cardinals game on August 17th that a lot of us are going to. If you are going to be there and you are interested in coming out and meeting some of us, PM me.

Apparently I slept through legal news of the month of June and the new Sonnenschein merger with Denton Wilde of UK to form SNR Denton. Been reading more about it, and it will be among the top 25 largest law firms in the world post-merger with an office right on our doorstep.
Speaking of which, has the Sonnenschein summer program started yet? If so, how is it going?

I currently have a membership at 24hr fitness that's good at all of them, but the one in Stl. is pretty far west of the school and definitely far from my place in the CWE. Since I'm already a member I might give it a shot though. There's a nice gym in my building, but those gyms are always so empty. I don't like a crowded gym, but having some people around is good. Wellbridge looks nice from the pics. I just wish the gyms would list the membership prices right on their websites.publiuspublicola wrote:Just joined the Wellbridge Athletic Club & Spa in Clayton today. If you lock in for 12 mos the rate for students is $74/mo. Not cheap by any means, but the fact that every single class is free (and there a lot) is a bonus.folgers wrote:I currently have a membership at 24hr fitness that's good at all of them, but the one in Stl. is pretty far west of the school and definitely far from my place in the CWE. $74/month is not too bad though. You didn't happen to call and check on Sante Fitness did you? I just found it and it looks pretty awesome. Right at the corner of Lindell and Kingshighway too, so I could walk if I wanted. Unfortunately the nice appearance probably comes at a premium price. They have gold and platinum membership levels.

GRRRR. My effing flight got cancelled till way too early tomorrow morning, so I get to sit here bored out of my mind constantly on the phone with delta airlines. I might hit the next baby that walks by out of pure frustration.

Anyone here do much cycling? If so, would you be interested in long weekend rides, sometimes in StL area and sometimes out in the country?

I'm in for sushi. I also want to go back to Sub Zero. I went there for a beer when I was visiting campus/touring the city in April. There was a really cute bartender there, and I told her I would be back to visit if I got in off the waitlist.

Hey everyone.
I was on Wash U Law's hold list for about three months, but I was finally accepted around mid-June! I happened to stumble across this thread when I searched TLS on Google (it was one of the quick links), so I decided to sign up and say hi. I'm really psyched about going to St. Louis, and I hope I get to see you guys soon!

That's cool, are you in the CWE? I'm currently working downtown so it would actually be more convenient to do lunch there, would that be okay for you?robin600 wrote:Awesome Rock Chalk! I know there's more people out there who wanna come! Preference for a place? I moved in Friday too lol.
