Sorry to hear about the deferral.ticklememauve wrote:This is quite a delayed response but I got an e-mail a month ago telling me I got a NBG. It was only a tiny drop in a bucket in comparison to the cost of tuition, etc. Funny thing is it came several weeks after I requested a deferral. Go figure. Anyway, I did get a direct e-mail about it. Maybe they're still giving them out since I obviously turned mine down.TTH wrote:I did a couple weeks ago. Good luck to all the soon-to-be-minted 1Ls!

I am driving up to columbus tomorrow to look for some apartments. Does anyone have a list of common apartments for grad students and just decent apartments around the area. Thanks.

Try metro-rentals.com and look for apartments in the Clintonville, Short North, Victorian Village, Italian Village, Harrison West, and Campus area neighborhoods.tsbotros wrote:I am driving up to columbus tomorrow to look for some apartments. Thanks guys. I was looking at the university village website and it kind of looks like a party place. Does UVillage have a reputation of being loud? If there are any 1L's out there, I need a roommate. Thanks.

Already have a roommate. Sorry. However, UV seemed like the best option at this late in the game for me. All of the apartments/houses I looked at close to campus were unlivable. Scary, trashed, etc. When we toured UV, it was very calm and well kept. Like the bus that comes every twenty minutes to campus too. Really wanted something in Victorian Village, but was so disappointed in what was left (and it was May).

Try cwinvestment.com
There's a nice two bedroom listed there. It's a 20 minute walk to the law building.

Is anyone else's schedule available on the Student Center? I just saw mine, and it sucks - I'm going to be on campus all day (9:00 - 5:00). Bummer.

I think everyone is. I do have a nice three hour break in the middle of the day, though. Just right for the four-martini lunch.lstwin wrote:Is anyone else's schedule available on the Student Center? I just saw mine, and it sucks - I'm going to be on campus all day (9:00 - 5:00). Bummer.

My last class ends at 3:45, but it is only MW. The awesome part is I only have 2 classes on Thursday and 1 class on Friday. It's like they WANT us to start getting reading for tailgating...

I really don't see why it's necessary to have only 1 class on friday. Just stuff it in on a weeknight or something and let us have a 3 day weekend.tsub wrote:My last class ends at 3:45, but it is only MW. Yeah I am not too pleased with one 50-minute class on Friday at 9 something.

My schedule starts at 9:00/9:15 every day (including Friday), and ends at 4:45 M-Th and 2:45 on Fri.
I have three classes M-Th and 2 on Friday.
Do the "2 classes on Thursday/one class on Friday" people have four classes on another day?

I know this is kind of old but the guy in charge NBG finally got back to me. After I talked to Marc he told me to talk to Dean Solomon (solomon.51@osu.edu). He basically said that all funds have been distributed and updated so if it's in your financial report, you got one. Hope that helps!TTH wrote:I did a couple weeks ago. Has anyone figured out how to tell what class is what or what professors we might have?

There are selections to view class name and professor below the schedule in BuckeyeLink. You have to manually check them and refresh.Whitters wrote:Has anyone figured out how to tell what class is what or what professors we might have?

Do Moritz students use any site to evaluate profs or has anyone heard who are the best and worst?

If you still are interested, I actually live there and the place is pretty nice, but it could get loud during weekend nights.njc08 wrote:Thanks a lot TTH, izzer and Notor![]()
What about this one on 58 E. 11th Ave? They have rooms open too, nearer to campus, but still east of high st.

I'm moving to Columbus on Friday, so I'll probably buy mine as soon as I'm unpacked and settled into my new place.dhatfie1 wrote:So when's everybody planning on buying their books???

My days start on either 9:20 (Mon, Weds, Thurs) or 9:10 (Tues, Fri). My days end at 4:45 M-R and at 2:40 on Friday. Not terrible, I suppose. I can't say that I'm enamored with the huge midday gaps.

I hate the midday gaps - hopefully next semester will be giant-gap-free.TTH wrote:I can't say that I'm enamored with the huge midday gaps.
