So my work has requested that I take off for the March ASW rather than the April ASW. Anyone have any idea how UVA will react to me calling Monday requesting to sign up late for the ASW (it says they will on their website, just wondering if anyone had any experience with this)? Should I go ahead and fill out the RSVP form or wait until Monday when I call? I wish they had let me know earlier, but I guess thats how it works sometimes. Obviously its too late for a student host, but I don't mind to get a hotel.

Also on another note if anyone lives in the TN / MO / KY area and is interested in carpooling to Charlottesville or possibly splitting a hotel PM me and we can talk details.

I am still deciding between three schools and UVa is my top one, but I probably won't know for at least two weeks.

It seems like the best places to live are already all full - where would you guys suggest living if I won't even be able to commit for two weeks? What's still open that is still a good place to live?

Can someone break down the living options (even those that are full) for me?

Nope, space magic was filling 67 of 74 spots so far. The odds range between slim and none at this point.

Yeah, I'm curious about this too. I read somewhere on here, I think it was the forum form UVA's ASWs last year, that someone there told them if they hadn't received an offer yet they weren't getting anything. And here we are, less than a week away . . .

If I don't here from UVA and/or the Jeffersonian soon I may unfairly attack my mailman out of frustration.

Yeah . . . I did fantasy baseball for two years and it was fun but just a little too much for me. It requires a ton of time. Plus, its a little less fun when I can only watch like %15 of the games. I only have basic cable . . . I can watch a whole heck of a lot of Braves games and a some Yankees games but if I own someone on the Rockies or something, fat chance I'll be able to watch them play unless they're playing the Braves.

I guess that's actually why I like it. I watch a ton of football, but little more than an inning or two at a time of baseball. My interest in baseball is strictly limited to FBB and the boxscores, but I love that part of it. To me FBB is more about strategy and FFB is really alot more about luck.

You get a list with the remaining units and you pick one. Once you pick, the cycle repeats for the next person on the list.

As long as you're not deadset on getting a particular configuration (i.e. 1 or 2 bedroom). That said, there should still be some of each by the time the list gets to the upper 20s. Plus some of the 2 bedroom people both have really good (low) numbers and will be rooming with each other so that allows people with higher (worse) numbers to get an apartment.

I'm #21. I think it could easily go either way. Fingers crossed.
