Hey everyone, new to the board! But I've been reading and a lot of your posts have been helpful.

I'm going to DC this weekend to look for an apartment and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good realtor to call or just has any advice in general.

Also if anyone is looking for a roommate let me know (I'm a girl Jamie if it matters).

Yes, it was hard for me at ASW, people kept bumping into me when I was sideways and thus invisible.

On another note, do you guys know if the school will let me into the gym before registration?

I really wish they would. THis is the main reason I'm still staying at home instead of my place in the city.

So my UG and LS have both had rare earthquakes this year. I wasn't around for either one, though.

So my UG and LS have both had rare earthquakes this year. I wasn't around for either one, though.

Earthquakes are what happen to cities when I leave them. I left LA for Chicago after living in LA for ≈6 years, and within 6 months they had their first >5 earthquake (while I was on the phone with a friend in LA). I left Chicago for San Francisco, and within 6 months Chicago felt the first earthquake there in something ridiculous like a half a century (I could be making that timeframe up, but it was a long effing time). I left San Francisco for DC, and within 3 months a sizeable earthquake was epicentered right where my stuff was still in storage. I leave DC for the summer, and wouldn't ya know it? EARTHQUAKE!

I like to think that either a) my departure is so traumatic that the earth literally shakes for me, or b) I am earthquake-proof. Probably neither. But it's a fun little chronology, nonetheless.

Also, I'm drunk, so whatever I've said now, I will deny to the death tomorrow.

You said nothing embarrassing. I'm just waiting for a New Madrid occurrence to wreak havoc on the Midwest this October. When I'm in DC. I've still yet to feel an earthquake, including very minor ones.

I am so hungover right now -- that sounds perfect.

but i'd need to make reservations 2-3 weeks out just in case. fills up quickly as you can imagine.
