You kick our butts in football. We kick your butts in hoops. So it's about even. (Plus we're a basketball school, so it's not a huge deal to me.)publiuspublicola wrote:Must be difficult for you to witness that.romothesavior wrote:Mizzou sucks. HTH

Although last year, I was about as angry as I've ever been after a sporting event. I took off like $60 Illinois track jacket and threw it in the garbage can on my way out of the stadium. Talk about a worthless bunch of idiots who couldn't live up to the hype.
And congrats and good luck to MURPH. Where to?

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
I'm moving in the 19th or 20th too. I'll be in 406. Going to be pretty busy with moving in stuff but could definitely make time for a TLS meet-up that weekend.motedust wrote:When is the Carleton crew moving in?? I'm thinking August 20th and I chose the third story place over the first floor so I'll have to reserve the elevator to move in. I also gotta figure out buying a car and therefore getting a parking spot (which I am assuming will be at the Bank of America).
p.s. also am very excited to play a little tennis, it's been too long.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
The first room I looked at in the Carleton was like, right as you walk in, in the right corner of the lobby area with the door on the back wall (102 maybe). Didn't seem like a prime location so I was glad there was a third floor apt. Gettin pretty fucking crazy stoked to head over there, 5 weeks for me probably the 20th.
In Gunner news I just finished Getting to Maybe after buying it in the WUSTL bookstore when I visited. Intellectually a very interesting
read, of course I am lacking some of the basic knowledge needed to fully grasp the tools/strategies introduced but nonetheless a great primer for 1L courses (I hope?). Will definitely read it again 1/4 or 1/2 way through first semester, tons of shit to pay attention to. I know there is some stiff gunner competition already though...

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
It's a 10 minute straight walk to the CWE metro and the metro takes 6-7 minutes to get to the U City-Big Bend Station right outside of the school. It's probably gonna suck haha.finalaspects wrote:damn maybe i should have looked at the carleton. but its far if you don't have a car, and they didn't have furnished rooms...fl0w wrote:yeah i'm in 107 on the left side. aka the pad of awesomeness.motedust wrote:The first room I looked at in the Carleton was like, right as you walk in, in the right corner of the lobby area with the door on the back wall (102 maybe).
