Hello.
I got in off the waitlist today. From what I've gathered over the past year, I can now recline and glide into a life of prosperity and prestige.

Does everyone pretty much have their roommate/housing situation figured out? I feel more worried than I probably should.

Congrats and welcome! You should join the YLS 2013 facebook group (there's a link in the email they sent - feel free to pm me if you didn't get it). There are a bunch of people looking for roommates and a list of available spots in current students' houses there.dutchstriker wrote:Does everyone pretty much have their roommate/housing situation figured out? I am searching at the moment as well. There seem to be plenty of 1BR apartments available. Although, having never visited New Haven, I'm somewhat worried about ending up in the ghetto....dutchstriker wrote:Does everyone pretty much have their roommate/housing situation figured out? I would like to live downtown in the New Haven towers, but preferably in a 2 or 3BR with a roommates (cheaper). I'm not exactly sure how to go about it since I don't know anyone and can't exactly up and visit New Haven to sign a lease. I guess I'll keep looking on the facebook group and figure something out.law_hippo wrote:I am searching at the moment as well. There seem to be plenty of 1BR apartments available. Have you called the leasing office? I got my apartment stuff settled out over the ASW and they seemed to be pretty busy at the Towers, but I'm not sure how the 2/3BRs are going.dutchstriker wrote:law_hippo wrote:dutchstriker wrote: I would like to live downtown in the New Haven towers, but preferably in a 2 or 3BR with a roommates (cheaper). Yeah, I called last week. Turns out the 2BRs are gone. I'm looking all over now, should hopefully have something by the weekend.picaresco wrote:Have you called the leasing office? Should I be worried that I still don't have housing set yet? I'm currently abroad and won't be able to visit New Haven until the week of July 11.
If anyone has found any good leads with dog-friendly housing in New Haven, do let me know. I'm looking for a 1BR/studio anywhere downtown, in East Rock, or in Wooster Square.

Re: Yale Class of 2013
Hi all. I am going to be a first year at YSOM starting this fall and will be moving to New Haven from Texas. I am looking for a roommate for a 2/3 bedroom apt and prefer to live downtown near the bars/resturants since I like going out. Rates are ~1500-1800/month for 2 bedrooms (not including parking).
Im younger for a Bschool student (25) so figured I would try this forum since I might have more in common with the law schoolers. Ill be up to CT to look for apartments in early July and plan to move in in August so PM me if interested.
