UVA Class of 2013 Forum

Have you guys noticed that this thread DOMINATES all the other class of 2013 threads? This has 80 pages while most other schools have less than 10. Why does UVa have such a strong showing on TLS? Is it because it's just that awesome?

I'm guessing part of it is due to ED making us by far the dominant group here (next biggest group is Mich, and they're less than half our size), another part is the UVA law students popping in to let us know what's up, and the last part is because UVA is awesome.

Just to let you know, UVA dominated the forum last year in the same way, so it's not due to ED. I think it's just that UVA is that awesome.

Yeah, but last year they were only around page 31 at the same date. TBF, TLS is expanding, yada yada yada, but I think ED plays a large role. Once you know for sure where you're going, the 2013 thread becomes much more interesting.

Jeffersonian usually notifies by email (and it's important to check since you often only get 24-48 hours to decide).

I finally gave in & paid the deposit at Ivy... it just feels risky because you have no idea what apartment you're getting and/or whether your walk will be 5 or 15 minutes long each morning. Just paid my first seat deposit too!

I've been in contact with Kathy, the lady at the Jeffersonian. She said it may be a few weeks till she gets all the rooms figured out... and not to worry! Just figured I'd let everyone know so she doesn't get bombarded by anxious 0L emails.

Reading over this thread makes me more and more excited about next year!

I'm at one of the places on Arlington. I didn't feel like waiting out the Jeffersonian or Ivy. I saw a nice place on craigslist that was Vanwinkle-approved, so I pounced on it.

Haha ironically just got the email with my lease attached a few hours ago... for those of you familiar with Ivy, how long of a walk is it from building 124 to the law school? Also can you park anywhere in the lot as long as you have the right color permit?

I believe the lot is split in half and technically you can be towed for parking in the wrong half but it's pretty rare.

Er... he might want to keep saving up money. Apartments are more plentiful than jobs ITE.
