Ok, here is the spreadsheet with everyone in your section. Clicky. Let me know if you want off. I'll update it as the thread progresses.
And I've got that storming out prof. Nice to know he does that so I can be less freaked out than my classmates.

That was so classic. hahahahaha.js87 wrote:Haha, that reminds me of the admitted student night at Rocket Bar. I picture a hoard of dorky 1L's in Hoya Lawya shirts (just for laughs) with big helmets riding through the busy streets of DC. Makes me smile =)
But I only laugh because I was one of them

Yeah... not done with that. I had my tetanus shot, but I have no proof that I had chicken pox... Stupid doctor wants to test me for positive immunity. Gonna call GTown Health services and see what they say.starrydecisus wrote:For those of us under the age of 26, immunization records due today!

Re: GULC c/o 2013
If it helps, all I'm sending them is an old physical form from a summer program from freshman year of high school. It's from my pediatrician (where I received all my shots), and all the records are current, except Tetanus. I haven't been able to get my next booster yet, but technically, my last one is still current until 7/15.Interminable_Waiting wrote:Yeah... not done with that. Do you have any insider scoop on Section 2 professors? (Mezey, Spann, Bonneau, Cedrone, Rothstein, Mikhail, Teitelbaum, or Satz?)gilchristh wrote:
As for professors, Abernathy is known for scaring the living shit out of students the first week of classes, but the man is on his game. The second day of classes, you get your syllabus, which has that scheduled in. I didn't have him, but my friends who did say he expects you to be prepared. But the man's a legend on campus, and not in the negative sense.
Rocket, good to see you're getting an early start on the incoming 1Ls![]()

Honestly, that would be fun as a suprise. First thing that would go through my head is that he will have such low standards for our crappy class.

Gah. Section 2 may not have classes on Fridays, but our torts exam is on the first day of exams, 12/7. Maybe it's better to get it over with?

I tried to go into the student facebook page on Georgetown site and it says my login and "Our records indicate you are not a student." Did this link work for anyone?

Here is the link to the main portal, log in with your e-mail information, then click student facebook near the bottom.
Just got my hotel for the weekend of the 9th.

I think you are the first section 7, volsi made a great list and posted it earlier. Thank you for doing that volsi.shadow. wrote:I can't get in either. Don't sweat Abernathy--his whole purpose is just to keep you on your toes. If you're already on 'em, then you'll be fine... just know that it's all an act.starrydecisus wrote:Do you have any insider scoop on Section 2 professors? Mezey is basically everyone's favorite professor. She's great--extremely knowledgeable, very accessible, and really funny. You'll love her. Mikhail is also really cool, though his exams are pretty tough. FYI--you DON'T want multiple choice on your exams. Trust me. We have all come to know and love multiple choice tests, but this axiom does NOT hold true for law school exams. If your professor (hint, hint: Mikhail) proposes multiple choice questions on your exam, lobby STRONGLY against them. Mikhail (pronounced Mick-hi-ul, not Mick-hale, in case you want to impress him) is also very accessible, extremely knowledgeable, and down-to-earth, though he definitely expects you to know your cases rather well.
I'm pretty sure my best friend had Spann and Rothstein, so I'll ask her what she has to say about them. I don't think I know anyone who had Teitelbaum or Satz, but I'll put my feelers out in case I'm wrong. But Mezey and Mikhail are both wins.

Re: GULC c/o 2013
P.S.--We (§3) had Mikhail and Klass for Bargain, Exchange, and Liability (basically Contracts and Torts) and the girls in our section basically turned the class into a Twilight-esque battle (Team Klass and Team Mikhail) and/or analogized them to Grey's Anatomy characters (if I recall correctly, Mikhail was McDreamy and Klass was McSteamy). I think both accounts were HIGHLY exaggerated, but it was pretty funny. I liked them both, but not in the way many of my fellow female classmates did. But some of you might...

I glanced at it. Looks like top 1/3 should be a major goal.. Sadly it will be a major goal of all 100% of us. They appear to be honest and saying firms want higher grades then in the past.shadow. wrote:I think that everyone should check these links out, especially if you're interested in big law.Unitas wrote:Where is the OCS site?

Bid statistics and the Grade History are very, very, very valuable.
Ok so bids are student who ask for a job? Then interviews are who is interviewed? What about offers? Why isn't that listed?
Every single student applied for Holland and Knight?? 691
