From what I saw the "due date" is 12/19/10 for semester rentals. Are you sure about the 12/09?

No, I'm not. I thought that's what it said when I looked a few days ago. I could've been wrong. Maybe it's different for different books?

Anything is possible. The take away from this is probably that if you are to rent be sure of your due date.

The curve is per class, not per section. Four out of five of the classes are made up of two or three sections combined. So you only have to worry about the "advice overloaded" section trouncing 33-50% of the curve. On the other hand, though, you'll probably build more familiarity with the people in your section, since you have every class with them. Maybe they'll like you enough to pass on their advice, or you have an increased chance of forming study groups with the people from your section as opposed to outside your section. After all, the ones in your section are all taking the same classes and thus the same professors' practice exams. If you study with someone from outside your section, you're working off of material from other professors which may or may not be helpful in your classes.

It can be a pretty good thing.

I think you only need worry about the amount of BPers in your section as any conversation you have will inevitably devolve into the stream of consciousness stuff that goes on in the lounge.

For those wondering, the registrar site now says "The Assignment issue [of Scoops] will be available Friday, August 20".

Also, the site has been revamped. It is at least looks like it is from the 2000's now instead of the early 90's

BTW, does anyone else feel that the weather in Ithaca this week has been a total pratfall? This muggy humidity is NOT endearing.

At least Ithaca isn't currently flooded causing the town water to be shut off due to contamination. ::Sigh:: 10 more days.

Yeah, but I bet your apt has a/c. Mine does not, and the air flow even with a fan is non-existent. I'm hoping this bodes well for a warm and cozy winter, but at the moment, I am not amused.
