I don't know . . . don't a ton of balls tend to end up in the outfield in softball? I can only speak for the mens softball I've grown up watching but those things fly man.

It sounds like we will have some good hoopers. I'm more of a take it to the rack and get to the line (FT's obviously only occurring in officiated games) type of SG, but I can also spot up and make good post entry passes if the personel I'm playing with dictates that.

I am so very excited about coming to UVA in the fall that I am thinking about learning how to play softball this summer.

Don't worry. There's not much to it. It is pretty much batting practice every time you are up to bat. And fielding is easy since the ball is a hybrid beachball/baseball. Lots of fun. It is hard though to transition back to baseball afterwards. Baseballs feel like golf balls in your hand and chasing them in the field when you get too used to softball. Fun stuff...

Haha I've already got some friends on standby for softball practice when it starts to warm up around here. I'll help fill the girl quota on the team but you might have to stick me in a position where athletic ability doesn't matter (if such a position exists... haha yes, I know that little about softball)

I'm sure you're not giving yourself enough credit. I'd suggest somewhere in the outfield, but - as I played center field in baseball - I take issue with the notion that outfielders have less ability than infielders. Still, the likelihood of being struck in the face with a line drive is significantly lower the further you move away from the plate.

Yes, one of my professors only allowed the textbook and rules supplement. He also specifically said if you write in your book that's fine, but trying to write some kind of outline in your textbook would be an honor code violation. However it was for Civil Procedure which is a really rules-driven subject, so it wasn't bad; you still get the rulebook to look up a rule if you're confused, and to do well you should know the rules well enough to not need to look stuff up anyway.

Most professors allow outlines.
