Squints was the man. And Wendy Peffercorn was a babe... well, by The Sandlot standards anyway. Nice! Shooters make my job much easier, I like to work with some space. It looks like we got enough for a couple teams here! Pleasant surprise.

PSA
We're getting some great TV this March. On the 14th, it's the story of John Basilone, the only enlisted Marine to win the Medal of Honor and Navy Cross on HBO's "the Pacific."

"South Park" premiers on the 17th. Enjoy

This has nothing to do with softball, but I thought I'd ask anyways. To all the current law students out there, what is the policy of most 1L profs. with regards to using outlines during exams?

It sounds like we will have some good hoopers. I'm more of a take it to the rack and get to the line (FT's obviously only occurring in officiated games) type of SG, but I can also spot up and make good post entry passes if the personel I'm playing with dictates that.mikeh915 wrote:blahblewblah wrote:6'4 shooter who can play down low as well if you need a SF.We need a PG and another big man. I am so very excited about coming to UVA in the fall that I am thinking about learning how to play softball this summer.

Are there any 1L professors who don't let you use outlines at all?

Also - if anyone needs a ride down from the DC-area to the April ASW - let me know. I'm thinking leaving Thursday morning and coming back Saturday afternoon (after the UVA baseball game).
PM me if you're interested.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
Don't worry. There's not much to it. It is pretty much batting practice every time you are up to bat. And fielding is easy since the ball is a hybrid beachball/baseball. Lots of fun. It is hard though to transition back to baseball afterwards. Baseballs feel like golf balls in your hand and chasing them in the field when you get too used to softball. Fun stuff...mama wrote:I am so very excited about coming to UVA in the fall that I am thinking about learning how to play softball this summer.

I'd suggest somewhere in the outfield, but - as I played center field in baseball - I take issue with the notion that outfielders have less ability than infielders. Still, the likelihood of being struck in the face with a line drive is significantly lower the further you move away from the plate.michstudent10 wrote:Haha I've already got some friends on standby for softball practice when it starts to warm up around here. I'll help fill the girl quota on the team but you might have to stick me in a position where athletic ability doesn't matter (if such a position exists... haha yes, I know that little about softball)![]()
I messaged you about ASW and your visit.
I've already decided to try and fashion myself in to a Brian Mccann character. He's the John Daly of Baseball.

Yes, one of my professors only allowed the textbook and rules supplement. He also specifically said if you write in your book that's fine, but trying to write some kind of outline in your textbook would be an honor code violation. However it was for Civil Procedure which is a really rules-driven subject, so it wasn't bad; you still get the rulebook to look up a rule if you're confused, and to do well you should know the rules well enough to not need to look stuff up anyway.Lady LaLa wrote:Are there any 1L professors who don't let you use outlines at all?
