Haha. +1. Wait until OCI becomes an epic fail for me. Then it probably wont be in private.mbw wrote:I've been here over a year, and I still have it occasionally...danidancer wrote:I had that. Random question - do you know/think we'll need three ring binders for school? I'm sorting/packing and am wondering if I should get rid of them.

Take your casebooks to Kinko's, unbind them, hole punch them, three-ring them. Save space.Devila_C wrote:Random question - do you know/think we'll need three ring binders for school? I'm sorting/packing and am wondering if I should get rid of them.

For me, probably not. I'll likely keep my outline electronically until exam time when it will make sense to print out. Also, I am a big fan of the paperless office concept, so I have a scanner with OCR that I use for any papers that I am given. This eliminates the need for me for a binder to hold handouts.Devila_C wrote:Random question - do you know/think we'll need three ring binders for school? I am planning on getting some file folders though to keep track of any loose papers that I need to keep for whatever reason, but I am done with binders.
I imagine it is really up to what your workflow is. I used to prefer paper copies of things to read and didn't like reading on my computer screen, but with the iPad I get the benefit of not having to keep track of lots of paper and at the same time being able to hold it in my hand at a certain distance good for reading and at a proper size.

But ripping up a binder is just not as satisfying as ripping up a thick textbook when you break down studying for finals.vexion wrote:Take your casebooks to Kinko's, unbind them, hole punch them, three-ring them. And I kinda recall you convincing me to come here... not that my prospects at Polar Law would have been any bettercomo wrote:Haha. +1. Wait until OCI becomes an epic fail for me. Then it probably wont be in private.mbw wrote: I've been here over a year, and I still have it occasionally...

Anyway, you're going to do just fine, Como... really... you ooze BigLaw, and they'll eat it up at OCI...
ETA, I should actually say my prospects here are significantly better than they would have been, and I actually appreciate your push... It's hard to express to the 0Ls that, especially if you're not looking to BigLaw, the silly Ivy League name goes way farther than you'd ever expect...

Note to self: Play loud music to cover the sound of crying or face calicocat posting an mp3 recording of it on TLS.calicocat wrote: I will probably hear your sobs through the walls, I think we're on the same floor.

Yeah, I wouldn't think about leaving Cornell Law. I'm looking forward to OCI, particularly hanging out in the city. Friday night should be bananas.como wrote:Yes and maybe. Are you sticking around next year?Westmalle wrote:como and l/t/e/c, will you be attending OCI or 1L orientation?
In case it was lost, in my previous post I was busting your balls for posting so much in the class 0f 2013 thread. However, with that said, I can't think of two better people than you and l/t/e/c to usher in the new class. Take notes 1Ls, these guys do law school the right way.

Re: Serving Time in Ithaca (Cornell 2013)
Ugh, such an embarassing moment today at work. So it's my last day and my bosses take me out to lunch and all of a sudden my cold goes from bad to terrible. Just as the food was being brought down I bolted from the table to throw up. I made it to the bathroom but I suspect they knew what was going on. Everyone was nice and understanding but man that was embarrasing. I wasnt quite sure how to handle it, if I should leave or not. I stuck it out but it was pretty obvious how sick I was.
