Having spent a year at the school already, is Hughes as depressing as it seemed when I visited?

I don't expect you to remember much from those few days though. Don't worry, Hughes will be cool next year.

 at the Hughes exchange. Hughes and "cool" being used in the same sentence is like Canadian and "foreign policy" being used in the same sentence.

When I spoke with housing, they asked me not to send packages more than 2 days before arrival, as they do not have much storage room. Send to:

Your Name
Hughes Hall, Room Number
Cornell University
Ithaca, NY 14853

Free bus all of 1L FTW. I went to a cold climate UG and had no problem walking 15-20 minutes in the cold to go to class then so Ithaca won't be that bad.

I'm just hoping Ithaca is not as bad as Iowa. Walking 10 mins outside in -40 or lower wind chill sucks.

After having been close to 100 most of the past week, it was like 70 this morning. I wore long pants. I love/hate LA.

So, I'm in a little bit of a pickle... everything I want for my Hughes room is 40% off right now, but I can't start shipping to school for another few weeks. Would anyone with an apartment close to campus be willing to store a few boxes until I arrive? It would be greatly appreciated!!! :D

mine felt pretty silly to write... "uh, yeah, believe it or not, i'm still interested. doesn't my $650 say that clearly enough?"
