i thought the installment plan is what allows you to pay it per month instead of by semester...

where/when/how do we find out what our cornell 7-digit student is?
I saw mine somewhere on the Cornell bound website.

It's also on the letter you got from the IT dept to activate your email.

If loans are covering the entire cost of attendance we do nothing, correct?

Edit: I've done the entrance counseling, Grad Plus request, etc...

I think you just have to set up where you want your disbursement to go. Check or direct deposit.

Sweet! Just what I wanted to hear. I'm holding off on the direct deposit sign-up until I've set up my Ithaca checking account. Thinking of going with M&T, since they at least have a few branches in NYC...

I actually was just looking at that, based on this page http://studentinsurance.cornell.edu/abo ... geid=59332 it seems as though you can waive starting July 21st... Maybe they are holding your paperwork until then.

Random question:

Did anyone who's visited campus recently happen to notice what kind of supply electrical outlets are in in the classrooms?

(asking because my laptop can't hold a charge anymore; wondering if I need to get a new battery for it).

If I remember correctly, there are outlets everywhere - almost every desk has it's own.

Well, that's $100 saved... $150,000 to go.

How do we adjust for coastal differences? Add 3 days? I'll take under at 13!

I'm actually going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that I receive mine, in NYC, by Friday. So what's that, 4 days?

Anyone else getting an error when trying to "Request PLUS Loan" that "The school does not accept that award year [2010-2011]"? Is this normal? Or will this get fixed by sending in the paper application that was emailed to us?? Help me not freak out right now lol

This is on the studentloans.gov website for clarity's sake.
