I just registered for the March 19th Open House. I live in Montgomery County, MD.
PM me if you're nearby/on the way down to Charlottesville and want a ride.

To current UVA students, do any of you know someone who has done the JD/MA in Legal History? My general question is if being accepted in school makes it easier ot be accepted in the other...

Does the Law School do anything for football games, i.e. tailgates?
If not, I've been thinking of throwing one - I'm thinking smoking some pork spare ribs and a shoulder for BBQ.

Officially no but unofficially yes. I've never attended, but the people I've witnessed tailgaiting appeared rather enthused and sloppily drunk.SweetnessUVA wrote:Does the Law School do anything for football games, i.e. tailgates?

Re: UVA Class of 2013
There was one "official" law school tailgate... well it wasn't really a tailgate, but it was a pregame at a nearby house, with pizza and beer. I'm not sure about any unofficial tailgates since I only went to one game. I love college football, but for me, a football game is an all day event, and I just didn't have the time later in the semester to give up an entire Saturday, especially since I waste even more time on Sundays watching football. If I was disciplined enough to get more work done on weekdays (by, you know, not posting on TLS), then I probably could have found the time on weekends.SweetnessUVA wrote:Does the Law School do anything for football games, i.e. tailgates?

Re: UVA Class of 2013
being bad is more of a reason to wake up at 8am and drink so you forget the score.
coming from UNC football, my word is truth.
and apparently, UNC basketball is now equally bad.

This has put a small dint in my enthusiasm. Is it shutting down the town, or are people competent snow drivers?YCrevolution wrote:... It's snowing a lot this year in C'ville.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
the good news for 0Ls, is the probability of this much snow falling 2 years in a row is probably pretty low.YCrevolution wrote:They're not even competent when it's not snowing. The Albermarle County schools have been closed so far this week (and given the 6 inches that could fall today/tonight, and then more snow on the weekend, they might be closed for a long while).oneforship wrote:dailygrind wrote:This has put a small dint in my enthusiasm. Does anyone who has recently applied to Ivy Gardens know what the waitlist is looking like? Or how late there will probably be availability? Thanks.
