Alright Thursday Meet Up it is!

6pm - ???

Crown and Anchor Pub Near the Law School

Wear something with UT law on it, if not -burnt orange will do.

Name tags with avatar pics on it? Yes? No? Is that just my attempt to see Catharsis have a pic of a dancing kitten? Probably.

Depends which store you went to. The one by the law school that carries the law text books has some t-shirts, hoodies, coffee cups, etc. with the "UT law" logo but it isn't a wide selection. The main Co-op on Guadalupe doesn't have anything for the law school.

Did you add a Longhorn to your Avatar using Paint? Please say yes because that would be AWESOME!

That reminds me...ladies (or so-inclined gentlemen), if any of you are into decorating, I may need your help picking out a color for my walls. The house we got is all painted stark white inside (like white white white), and I'm terrible with color. TERRIBLE. I'm the kind where I think I'm buying taupe paint until I get it on the walls and it turns into radioactive lemonade. lol.

I loooooove decorating, so I'm down at any point to help pick wall colors.

I don't know if I have anything burnt orange or UT law yet...but I don't really have a lot going on until Thursday around 5, so I'll make it work.

What if I have neither something with UT Law on it NOR anything burnt orange? (That's right, despite four years here I've accrued nothing burnt orange besides a BC Calculus shirt from high school that's 3 sizes too big. It's not a lack of school spirit, just the complete inability to look presentable in this color.)

Will a nametag tar (nametar?) suffice?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. we might have to take a vote on this one, JA. ;) I'm sure we're all just pumped to hang out with you, burnt orange shirt or not.

(While we're on the subject of burnt orange, I reaalllyyy want this beauty: --LinkRemoved--, but my husband says it's tacky to carry a burnt orange backpack at UT. he's wrong, no? though I am pretty tacky, so he might be right....)

I have a super duper cute bright pink TEXAS LAW shirt, but it's packed. :-(
Hard as it is to believe, I own nothing burnt orange. :-)

I can't believe I'm moving tomorrow. I honestly thought I'd never make it out of the black hole that is Norman, Oklahoma. Austin or bust!!

Good luck! My movers were a week late, so I feel like I basically just got here too. Go go couch!

I'm thinking of starting a business -- my classmates would pay me to push around their books in a shopping cart. It would protect them from the mockery associated with rolly backpacks AND the severe back problems that inevitably accompany fashionable totes. Win-win(-win). Who wants to invest?

I'd be your first customer, for sure.

catharsis, i was gonna put the backpack on one of those luggage cart things! i mean, if i'm rolling my books, i might as well go whole hog. plus, if i buy one with wheels, what do i do with it after my back gets better?

I say we go with Avatar pics and a UT law shirt if you have one?

Or we can do what we did at Stubbs and just grab a table

Any thoughts?

Lets do Crown and Anchor (apparently its a place law students spend a bunch of time in so lets get into the spirit), and while everyone is welcome to print off pictures of their avatar...those of us without a printer are gonna just have to stick with a UT law shirt. I don't think it'll be much of a problem. A few of us have cell numbers, so we can text if confused. Anyone else could exchange?

I have full confidence in the ability of relatively intelligent 20-somethings to be able to find one another.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
