Any of you guys know anything about the "Kramer Place" apartments? Also, if you commute to the law school, where is a good place to park?

Re: The Ohio State University Class of 2013
I talked to a few people at the law school this weekend about parking, and they all said to spend the extra $$ on a garage parking pass, as opposed to the lot passes, because the lots fill up pretty early in the day (apparently by 7:00am-ish). Not sure what the price difference is though.dhatfie1 wrote:Also, if you commute to the law school, where is a good place to park?

Parking in the Union garage is like 600 a semester (maybe a year), either way, it's crazy expensive! My apartment company has a lot two blocks away from the law school that you can buy a parking pass from for $250 a year, not bad considering the crazy ass parking fees of Columbus, and I thought MSU was bad!lstwin wrote:I talked to a few people at the law school this weekend about parking, and they all said to spend the extra $$ on a garage parking pass, as opposed to the lot passes, because the lots fill up pretty early in the day (apparently by 7:00am-ish). Anybody committed applying/admitted/attending applying for accommodations? Anyone know how the process at OSU is? Relatively pain free I'm hoping...

I saw the craigslist ad for Kramer Place and thought it looks kinda nice. It's in a good neighborhood. (Italian Village, right?) Plus, if you moved there, you wouldn't have to worry about parking at school. You could just take the #2 bus up High St to the law school.dhatfie1 wrote:Any of you guys know anything about the "Kramer Place" apartments? Does the law school offer some kind of roommate search service? I know they had one at Iowa where you could e-mail your info in and the school would publish a list. Also, I noticed some people post things on the facebook group, but I was just wondering if there was a more organized way to go looking for roommates.

They mentioned something about it at the ASW, but I really wasn't paying attention. I'm sure if you call they can plug you into it.tsub wrote:Does the law school offer some kind of roommate search service? Afraid not, but I have a friend from UG who lives out in that area around Kenny Rd. I'll ask him if he knows anything about it if you'd like.crm wrote:TipTrav,

Crm, you're in luck. My buddy actually lived there for a year. Here's what he said.
My Buddy Joe wrote: I actually just moved out of there. I lived there for a little over a year. Not bad, but not great. In a very good location, and that's essentially what you're paying for when you move in there. Check it out in person though, the two bedrooms might be better than the one bedroom I had. If you're willing to live a bit farther from campus than that, you can get better value.

My friend and guest for ASW lived there and absolutely loved it. He was trying to push it on me, but I like a patio/balcony, which they seem to lack.

Out of curiosity, when is everyone going to be moving to Columbus? If I end up going there, and I certainly hope to, I'd like to have a barbeque or some such before classes start.
