Holiday Swag?
Do firms typically give their recently recruited summers holiday gifts or is that something I made up?
Has anyone heard of anyone receiving anything yet this year?

Haynes & Boone supposedly mailed chocolate-covered pretzels to all of their 2010 summers.

This years gift is not mailing a revocation notice.
There was an bit on ATL about deferred associates being invited to holiday parties.

Is it typical to not here back from your firm after you've accepted an offer there?
I have a letter confirming my acceptance from them and an email, but do firms typically communicate at all with their summers before they start?

Next semester you'll probably starting getting info about parking, where to live, maybe a summer events schedule. Every firm is different, but you will get various things relating to your summer.

Re: Holiday Swag?
I haven't heard back from my firm since the confirmation letter. They said they would be getting in touch with me in the new year. Part of me is relieved because I feel like every interaction with them from here on out can only hurt me, but at the same time the silence makes me nervous.
Speaking of nervous, do firms typically ask for an updated transcript? This semester is not going well.

I got cookies too. Or rather, cookie sandwiches, with a nice note. Pleasant surprise.

Invite to the holiday party in NY; though, it happened to be the night of an ecam (exam ends at 6). Losing out on food/booze<swag.

My firm asked for one at the beginning of the summer. (I'm a 3L now.) Cookies last year, nothing this year.Speaking of nervous, do firms typically ask for an updated transcript? This semester is not going well.
