FEDERAL DEFENDERS OF SAN DIEGO INTERVIEW

Post by Dania » Wed Nov 11, 2009 11:20 am

Hi All,

I have an interview with the Federal Defender of San Diego in December. Does anyone know about the interview? It is an all day interview with multiple supervisors and mock trial components.

Does anyone know how competitive it is? Is the interview confrontational? What type of hypothetical do they use?

Thanks! :P :D

Have no idea, but just wanted to say that would be a cool job, so good luck and let them know you really want the job, that allways impresed me at the end of the interview when interviewees said "I just want you to know I really want to work here becuase x,y,z".

I went to a talk by a former and current public defenders (there were two). The biggest thing I remember is they you must be enthusiastic about defending people and it must come across (ie: not only can you not mind defending guilty people. but you must want/need to do it). Good luck
