When and what are people getting in terms of additional information/contact after receiving an offer?

I called the partner who called me in order to accept/ask questions. At the end he said that their recruiting coordinator would be in touch with me soon regarding logistics.

Talked to some more people at the firm with more summer-specific questions.
Got told to expect official paperwork in January.
Am going out for dinner with an attorney sometime before January.
