Re: Katten offers/callbacks?
My interview with Katten LA was easily the most unusual of any of my 20 interviews. Right off the bat, one of the interviewers, who looked very stressed, told me that associates are extremely stressed and work very long hours. She proceeded by saying how terrible the conditions were for a minute or two. All the while, the other interviewer starred at the one going on a tirade in horror. I didn't get a callback, but I don't think I would have been interested in one after that experience.
Is Katten known to be a sweatshop, or did I witness a mental breakdown?

They did call backs at CLS and NYU before ours. Fewer places left, for us.Anonymous User wrote:Why the sad face ?Anonymous User wrote:They roll.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know if historically they roll their offers or wait until all/ most are done to give any (ny)?Anonymous User wrote:When are all y'all's callbacks? This implies that they've started giving offers. Is that confirmed yet ? At least for NY?Anonymous User wrote:How late is too late for them?

Re: Katten offers/callbacks?
same question as above - do you know how long between cb--> offer? also, do you get offers based on when you interviewed or what school? like do they wait until everyone from your schools does their cb?Anonymous User wrote:I know of at least one offer; not FordhamAnonymous User wrote:This implies that they've started giving offers. Re: Katten offers/callbacks?
I have a callback with Katten, but it's not until the last full week of September. One of my buddies has one the next week.

Re: Katten offers/callbacks?
hmm i would imagine they cant wait until everyone has done their CB to give offers though. people who did all of their CBs the last week of august/early september are going to have problems with offers expiring before hearing back from Katten

Re: Katten offers/callbacks?
I have a friend who summered at Katten (Chicago) and I asked her about the firm when I got a screener there. She basically said that the summer program was extremely intense and difficult while other peer firms had much more rounded and fun summers. It was a weird response because it was literally the first thing she said about it and wasn't really a direct answer to my question. Almost like she was warning me about something. Anyway I didn't get a CB so whatevs but my sound byte paired with the one above seems interesting.Anonymous User wrote:Sounds like possibly both.Anonymous User wrote:My interview with Katten LA was easily the most unusual of any of my 20 interviews.
