McDermott Will & Emery CB

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Sep 14, 2009 7:36 pm

To those who had already done their CB at McDermott in Chicago, how long did it take for the firm to make their offer decision? Also, is it true that it hires by department?

Some people at my school have started to receive ding emails. No word of any offers though. I don't know what their decision making process is like but they've definitely started narrowing the pool of candidates at the very least.

Yes, McDermott in Chicago (and perhaps elsewhere) hires by department.

Can someone confirm that rejections are sent by email? Also, did anyone receive and offer in less than 2 weeks post CB? Thanks.

Anyone have any idea what the offer/callback ratio is for this firm?

My guess is not a lot of offers because they hire specifically by practice group. At the office I interviewed, there was only one SA position and at least 10+ CBs for it.

Sure, but how many offers do they need to fill one spot?

Had a callback with the LA office over 2 weeks ago and still no word. Recruiter said it should be at least 2-3 weeks because it was so early in the process. The practice group is hiring only 1 SA for next summer...

My callback is only 2 hours and does not include of a lunch. Is this normal?
