Callback Interviews??
In general, are the various interviews you have with multiple partners during callbacks similar to initial interviews at OCI?
Are they more conversational to see if I fit or are they going to ask me a ton of substantive questions? Any advice specific to callback interviews as compared to OCI interviews?

What kinds of questions did you ask?steve_nash wrote:I've started doing callbacks, and I've found each firm has been different. One callback was very tough; the interviewers asked lots of questions, some substantive, some behavioral type questions, and a few just made me ask questions for the entire 30 minutes. The others I've done have been much easier. One was trying really hard to sell itself to me--sorry if this sounds arrogant, but I got the feeling they didn't get people with my creds that often. For your callbacks, I would prepare just like any interview. Just be prepared to ask lots of questions.

Re: Callback Interviews??
So I know your firm does X, does that mean... insert question here regarding getting work, training, what types of work someone like you (lit/transactional interest) would be given. etcedcrane wrote:What kinds of questions did you ask?steve_nash wrote:I've started doing callbacks, and I've found each firm has been different. Another good one has been: compare X (current firm) to Y (firm the person had worked at previously).
Easy one: It sounds like the firm's culture is blah, what's the culture like in this office/group?
