Preferably something darker. You don't see a lot of light suits in law firms.

Re: light grey suit ok for oci
I like to let a personality show with a tie or shirt color. So today, I wore a dark gray suit with light blue shirt (the classsic Brooks Bros.) with a classic red tie with little seals and igloos on it (Brooks Bros.) (The pic is vineyard vines, but you get the idea...)

Because my army of seals are on their way to your house, they were unavailable for a photo...

I hope you are joking about having worn that tie, Stain. Especially IN THIS ECONOMY.

Nothing wrong with a little vineyard vines even in the worst of economies.

Hey man, I didn't have to wear a tie at our firm. I don't know what the fuck I'm doing so cut me some slack.nitsudrx wrote:I hope you are joking about having worn that tie, Stain. Especially IN THIS ECONOMY.

Hmm, let's try out the anonymous post reply...
So far so good...
Feels a little cold...
Kind of metallic tasting...
Maybe I'm doing it wrong...
Ah there it is...
Your tie sucks

I believe the suit is a fine choice; however, judging by the price reduction and texture, I am quite sure it's a summer suit. Nothing crazy, simply a bit lighter texture so it isn't uncomfortable during the hotter months. I don't believe that anyone--law firm wise--will really notice if you wear it year-round, but I would advise buying a heavier suit for the winter.

And, whatever you do, make sure you wear a white shirt and dark tie (navy, grey, purple even) combination. You're not really going for the "I think I'm a great dresser" look, but rather, the subtle, elegant look.

My username isn't the same as the AIM on my facebook, so I thought I had a leg up on you.
Oh, and if the OP is still reading, apparently wear a dark suit, but shirt and tie I leave to your discretion.

from Vault: "Men should wear a conservatively cut, traditional two-button-style suit from
the best designer they can afford (High quality shows high standards). Most
of your classmates will choose navy blue suits, but black or gray is acceptable
as well."
The suit is money if you like it. Go for it.
