Out of curiosity, can those of you doing OCI this fall post some basic stats so we can see how OCI is going at various schools? I'd recommend including the following information:
- School (or at least give a range, like "CCN" or "T20-30" if you don't want to be specific)
GPA, Journals
# of interviews
# of callbacks
Target markets (if you go to a regional reach school, you don't need to out your region, just say "regional", unless your region is NYC/Chicago/DC)
I'll post mine later tonight. I don't want people sleuthing and figuring out who I am by trying to figure out which posters are on right now. (And I know some of you have that much free time right now)
Also this thread is not for 3Ls. We already know you're all boned if you're not employed yet.

Emory 2Ls are going through OCI right now. NY just finished, and the same 3 or 4 people (it seems like) are getting all the callbacks. NY firms appear to be calling back a max of 2 students each. Also, if Emory students aren't in the top 10% (really 5%), they are screwed for big law, at least this year. While in past years, the thought was, just don't be a bumbling idiot if you've got top grades, this year, the firms are much more focused on well-prepared, thoughtful, pleasant students. Otherwise, I can't explain how the same, small number of students got all the callbacks.

That's because that poster hasn't had OCI yet and is warned to stop trolling before I ban. K?

For my own fun, I've had 6 interviews so far and I think I'm looking at 2 call backs from those.
Does anyone know if they call and say "no thanks"? Or do they only call to give call back offers and if you don't get one, you figure it out eventually?

Is this grade inflation..?

I also did the Loyola Patent Fair program. Multiple employers said that IP has barely taken a hit and is doing just fine. Good time to be an engineer/hard science major I guess.

People who judge the entire IP law market by what F&R does are retarded. F&R is a bloated cow of a law firm compared to Knobbe and Finnegan.

No--I didn't interview with them.
I know it's not practical, but I wish firms would call if you're not getting a second interview. I'd like to know when I can stop hoping to hear from them.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
