I still haven't faxed them my acceptance letters yet... but they also haven't responded to the email I sent well over a week ago.

I have an interview tomorrow and I'm scared out of my mind. It's funny because I may not even scratch the surface of the 1st tier let alone T14. I got waitlisted by Notre Dame but probably will end up at somewhere like ASU. Are they going to laugh in my face?

You know how people give each other a look when they're so over a guy and his back is turned? My interviewers did that while I was still in the room. True story.

haha! that's how the interview was for me as well. at the end i found out they weren't even lawyers!! i would not have been nearly as nervous had i known that at the beginning.

My name is Lexy and I am a current applicant to the SEO
Corporate Law program. Currently I cannot access my application
online in order to update my law school application statuses. I was
wondering if this was a problem particular to myself and if it
reflected the status of my application in any way? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Also, I was hoping that it would be possible for me to scan and email
my law school acceptance letters to SEO rather than fax them, as I'm
currently in Dubai and am unsure of any possible access to a fax
machine at my current location. Thank you for your time.

Lmao. The more I hear about SEO... Maybe it's an auto-response...?

You ought to be able to find a fax machine somewhere, though? Perhaps the kind of place that makes copies? Or one of the university offices surely has one where you can beg.

I really think you only need to send in the one acceptance (with deposit slip) that you are you going to go to, though.

Also, I didn't get an update from SEO yesterday. Anyone?

I'm already looking for jobs and planning that I won't be getting the SEO.

I'm sure in this economy SEO is not unaffected.

SEO is ridiculous. They have quotas for the top schools and I'm guessing the big NYC firms pay them money to help find the "top minority candidates." In exchange, you get to push papers for a summer in NYC, ride in the dirty, humid subways, and barely make enough money to pay for a decent place + enjoy yourself for the summer (if you aren't from the city).

I think it's a really great opportunity if you want the experience, but uh.. I think I'll enjoy my last summer before LS lying on the beach back home. Besides, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to land a corporate job somewhere coming from a T6 anyway.

Fwiw, I'll be declining any offer (assuming I receive one).

I'm very risk-averse. I don't know if I can turn down an in (even just a possible one) into a 1L summer job before even starting.

Plus I know $750/week is nothing in NYC, but I'm straight out of UG and have never made that much money in my life.

I can definitely see it not being worth the hassle to someone with significant experience already, though.
