USMJ Clerkship -> NYC BigLaw Possible?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Jun 06, 2025 2:24 pm

I just accepted a two-year USMJ clerkship in a relatively well-regarded district (major city, but not DC/NYC). I am a 2L (rising 3L now, I guess) and will graduate top 20% from a T50, maybe higher but probably not top 10%. I want to relocate to NYC after my clerkship, but the firm I summered at does not have an office there. If I apply broadly, is BigLaw realistic? MidLaw? Any advice is appreciated!

Yes. Apply to every single V100 law firm as well as the top midlaw firms.
