Generous NY Firms in terms of perks
Which firms in NY are not stingy? Recently lateraled from Kirkland to Proskauer. Culture is better in many ways but was shocked at how stingy Proskauer is. Is Kirkland an outlier in spending freely on dinners / transportation / office amenities?

I think Kirkland is well known as being near the top on perks.
FWIW I think perks are overrated. I love working at Debevoise but there's no free cafeteria, no gym, etc. Well worth it to me in exchange for the respectful, nice office culture and reasonable hours/RTO expectations.

DPW is stingy. Low Seamless cap, admin will come after you on reasonable use of car service, etc. Sounds like Deb might be the same in that regard.

I have never had a problem with Deb being stingy about after-hours meals or the car service. They are also reasonable if you have to travel for work. Free lunch isn't very common though.
SullCrom, on the other hand, has free breakfast and lunch. You can keep a set of gym clothes at the office gym and they'll wash them for you. Never heard of that one before.

Latham has free lunch in the office. Seamless for dinner / weekend meals is unlimited as long as it's a "reasonable" amount. I usually order around $40-50 but if a client is pissing me off, I have ordered dinner for $75 and no one ever said anything.
Latham also gives you a free iPhone and pays your phone bill. I have used it abroad on personal vacations (no idea how much Verizon charged Latham for that) and no one ever complained.

Damn. Proskauer makes us buy our own phones and only reimburses $40.
Free lunch in the office on Wednesdays. Seamless limit is $35 on weekdays / $60 on weekends.
Wish I was at a better firm, lol

$35 nowadays. But, hey, job security is the best “perk”!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 2:19 pmIs their seamless still $25.
