Actually made it to an interview with different partners this time around. Big litigation outfit. Wondering how and if you got over the awkwardness of it all (and I bombed the interview last year--Two partners were constantly checking phone and frustrated about something so maybe they had a bad day?).

I got a lateral offer at a firm that I was rejected from after an SA callback. Especially in biglaw, needs can change. In my case, I went from a generic SA candidate to a mid-level associate with an actual skillset, so the marketability dynamic was very different.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 3:12 pmActually made it to an interview with different partners this time around. Anyhow, I wouldn't take it personally if the partners were distracted during the interview. They were probably in the middle of a fire drill they would have rather been attending to instead of doing an interview. It doesn't mean they specifically disliked you. If it doesn't work out, I doubt there was anything so special about this firm/office that you can't get at another shop.

I got rejected from screener during OCI - landed an offer at the same V10 during 3L.
It’s all business and if you get an interview you have a shot. Nothing to be embarrassed or awkward about, sell yourself and put your best foot forward - you can land the offer.
