Quinn Emanuel vs Selendy Gay
Very set on lit, and keen to get early substantive experience (though not a top priority), so I've come down to these two options - both in NYC. Don't really have specific qualities that I'm looking for, just for the all-round best option (taking into account work quality, culture etc.)

It's a matter of taste. The objective expectations and pay are similar; both firms have strong reputations and get cutting-edge representations.

Very limited experience with both, but my peers who went to Quinn were nicer to work with. The one person I know at Selendy is one of those people that goes out of her way to be mean/petty to others.

Choose Quinn unless you're sure you want to stay in NY forever and also prefer to work at a boutique law firm rather than a big law firm. I have a lot of personal experience with both firms, fwiw.
