Sidley DC thoughts?
For regulatory/litigation work, how is Sidley DC viewed? Any thoughts or intel on the firm’s general reputation in DC or the experience working there would be appreciated!

Viewed, general reputation, like by a random person on the street? Why do you care? What are you trying to optimize for?
The vast majority of people in DC think "oh, a law firm." Lawyers and lawyer-adjacents will know it's a biglaw shop with a significant DC presence, along with the other two dozen firms that fit that distinction. "Regulatory/litigation" does not narrow it down further.

At Sidley DC, generally happy with my experience. I agree with the other poster about reputation—not really a meaningful factor, imo.

Yes, one of the average biglaw offices in DC, of which there are many. But if you’re joining the appeals group in particular, Carter Phillips is one of the top Supreme Court practitioners around. His star is waning, but still one of the better practices to be an appellate-only attorney.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 8:57 amAt Sidley DC, generally happy with my experience.
