I'm a fifth year considering lateraling to Quinn Chicago. I know that Quinn's official policy is full remote, but I wanted to ask for any insight on whether that's actually realistic, in the Chicago office in particular. Does it depend on who you work for? Is it realistic to think one could be associated with the Quinn Chicago office but live in another state? Do most people come in occasionally?
Thanks!

Re: Quinn Remote Policy
Current QE associate here. As far as I know the firm continues to actively hire under the "Work From Anywhere" system where associates are formally associated with a specific office but live elsewhere. Those hires are as fully remote as it gets. And, under the firm's current status quo, I would say that it's realistic to work fully remote even if you are within commuting distance of an office.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 11:18 amI'm a fifth year considering lateraling to Quinn Chicago. There are some partners who push in-person meetings for those who can attend, so I wouldn't say that you won't face any pressure to come in occasionally. Even these partners, however, are limited by the parameters of the firm's formal policies (whether, and to what extent, these partners express favoritism toward associates who come in more is a different question).

Re: Quinn Remote Policy
Make sure you apply under the "Work from Anywhere" option. I was hired a year out and lived not too far away from the office I applied to. When I said I wanted to work remotely and wasn't going to live within the city limits of said office, they pulled my offer the day before my start date. Thanks Quinn.
