Ok help easy my anxiety here. I am at a V5 who is pushing for most days in the office. Of course, I am not playing the "facetime" game so I end up leaving at 5:30/6. I log back in later of course (gosh, what a world to live in to finish work by that time, but I digress).
Anyway, I always feel like I get a lot of looks from partners/senior about my leaving early. So the question is, now that firms are pushing RTO, what time is everyone leaving the office?
Does anyone here get WFTEA? Waiting for the elevator anxiety? Forum

If you're billing lots of hours and doing good work, then people probably won't care when you come and go.

Are you coming in early? If you're coming in before everyone else, stop doing that and stay longer. Do you know what time everyone else leaves? No point in waiting around just to look good if they're staying until 8, but if you're leaving at 5:30 and they leave at 5:45, then just leave at 5:50 and stop worrying. Otherwise, this is just really going to depend on your firm/practice group's culture. I was at a place where it made sense to wait around the 15 minutes until the partners left, and I'm now at a place where no one cares what time you leave, so it's just so dependent (I leave anywhere between 3:30 and 7).

Take the stairs down one or two levels, then use the elevator.
