Sat for the bar in July. People at work (a law firm, so they know about the bar) these days greet me with the question "Have you got your results yet?" I wasn't nervous about it before, but I am now. I'll die of embarrassment and shame, now that the whole firm knows I'm waiting for the result.
Anyone willing to share how they've overcome such anxiety?
Edit: nvm. I passed. Thanks everyone!

Everyone feels this way. I was so confident that I failed the bar exam (I did not finish the exam and guessed on like 25% of the questions), that I saved my books and assumed I would need to retake it. I passed on the first try. There's a huge curve. You'll be fine.

I think this should be regarded as a mental exercise. Of course, passing the bar is a big deal, but you'll get into more stressful situations and I think it is helpful to take these moments and train yourself a bit to realize everything is fine. Everybody deals with these things differently, maybe it helps you to look at it logically (What is the worst that can happen? Realistically, everybody will be supportive and you have to retake it which takes some time, yes, but is not that bad) or maybe to meditate on it or maybe to change your perspective (you could also see it as that at least you are in a situation where people are interested in you enough to ask about your bar, and in a position where you actually need to have passed the bar something a lot of your peers would kill for, as maybe they don't have jobs or are stuck with colleagues who don't care about them at all) for example.
Either way, you will very likely have passed. You'll very likely laugh about how stressed you were about this in a few weeks.

Of course they know you are waiting for the result. The results typically come out at the same time for everybody. If you fail, most firms give you another shot, but most people pass- even those who were "certain" they failed.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 7:59 pmSat for the bar in July. Haha if you only guessed on 25% of the Qs then you absolutely aced it. I’d say I at most knew half the Qs.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 12:05 amEveryone feels this way.
